Ford 1.6 dpf recall
The vehicle has been in for the recall for cracked dpf, upon picking the car up I was told that only a software update had been done, and no inspection of the dpf has been done. How is this acceptable for a dpf cracking safety recall?
About returning sedans
Hey Ford, I have an idea. Since yall are talking about bringing back sedans, how about reviving the Fusion name instead of bastardizing the Mustang name plate even more? And don’t give me the corporate “Cost-profit margin” bullshit again, you’re keeping the C2 platform around for 2 vehicles, both of which serve very different purposes and are only sold in the Americas. Just built a new sedan platform, stick the Fusion on it, or better yet, pull a page from the book of history and do what you did with the Probe with either Mazda again or Toyota, to save costs.
Digital security package
Is there anyone paying $8/month for Ford's digital security package? Whatever that is. I'm guessing 0 actual humans but I keep seeing ads for it so am curious.
1997 7.3 rear windows…
Rear passenger window wasn’t working… any tips on diagnosing, I’ve been following the wiring diagram and getting inconsistent voltage sometimes 12 sometimes 1. I tried to use my Milwaukee 18v battery to start the motor but it was a no go, thinking that the motor is bad but it is a newer one that the previous owner put in, and he said it didn’t work when he put it in. Rear driver window doesn’t work from the rear switch but does from the front most of the time.. is it a big grounding issue?
Ford Points Canada
How many points do you need for an oil change (your experience) I know it differs by dealer. I’m in SW Ontario.
2021 bronco
Has an obvious knock/tick. Not sure what the normal things are to fail on these engines. Rod bearing, lifter? Any guesses?
Oil Leak Ford Fiesta
Hey guys, got a 2009 Ford Fiesta 1.4 Ztec Engine. I am about to do a full service for this car as a bought it second hand I noticed this leak by the oil filter. The filter looks like it has never been changed, but I was wondering if the leak is coming from that filter or from what looks like the oil cooler below it. I want to do it myself, wondering if this is an easy fix or I should bring it to the shop. And also want to know if this is a problem on their cars. It's not leaking a lot of oil as there is never a spot on the ground when parking and the oil is at a good level as well on the dipstick. Also aware of the coolant leak which is going to be fixed.
Is this normal for windscreen wipers?
The UK had had no rain until today prompting me to notice this is loose. Is there a way I can tighten this?
Anyone know what happened to this dudes epic tank mod stang?
Best year(s) of F-series trucks
Meaning you could walk into a Ford dealership that year, choose nearly any F-150 or Super Duty with any available engine, and come away with a solid, dependable truck.
Which year had the strongest lineup from top to bottom? Not just one standout model or engine
Inherited a 300K 7.3 PS beauty. Tips to keep it forever?
So, recently got the gift of a 24 foot beast of a 4WD, single wheel 4dr F250 with a long bed, sliding fifth wheel. Bush bar and ranch style tailgate. Has a tuner, coolant filter, enclosed aftermarket intake. Paint is faded of course, but engine runs like a top, exhaust clear as my conscience and has trouble reaching 180 coolant/oil unloaded off the interstate. Previous owner seemed responsible.
Long story short, it's hauled RV's and wants to work still. I'm wondering...
When/if should I rebuild?
How much to rebuild the front end, drive line and all corners? Trans fluid looks great, shifts great unloaded. But I've got a torn boot on the front, and the carrier bearing looks shot.
It's got a Garrett turbo, is that OEM or another contention for replacement?
I've worked on 95+ broncos and f150's, but I don't know diesels and honestly wouldn't mind dropping money for all bearings replaced. Doesn't leak, AC cold as hell but might need a clutch, 4wd works and starts in negative temps.
Ford Blue Advantage Certified Vehicle Warranty / Return Policy issues
Hi,
I bought a certified car last week that was advertised and having a Ford Blue Advantage Certified 90 day warranty. As part of the warranty, there is a 14 day or 1k miles Money Back Guarantee. I bought the vehicle and one week later there are multiple mechanical issues, I had the vehicle inspected by a mechanic and they made a report with all the problems and I went back to the dealership.
When I bought the vehicle the policy was explained to me by the salesperson while looking at the paperwork, which when I checked had this specific page missing from the file they gave me for my records. The return policy is detailed the brochure they gave me for the warranty with all the paperwork, on the Ford corporate website and even on the dealership website in the small print of their own website's certified vehicle page. I do not have a signed copy of the warranty detailing the return policy, just the terms of the warranty and the vehicle inspection checklist.
They are refusing to honor the return policy and said they would take the car into service for repairs and "do their best to have it looked at by friday". They also gave me the runaround to get me copies of the signed certified warranty paperwork and inspection check list. I was only able to obtain it when I spoke to the sales manager, who repeated this claim that they do not participate in the return policy. The original salesperson changed their story saying it was only in case of mechanical failure and then later said there is no return policy.
I spoke to Ford corporate via chat and they claimed that dealerships participating in the certified program are supposed to honor the return policy. The customer service I called afterwards to confirm, said to refer to the website. Here are the details and wording of the guarantee.
At this point I no longer feel confident about the sale and I would prefer to return the vehicle. They have been unresponsive and inattentive. After I visited the dealership, I emailed them with all the details of the situation and the mechanic report. I asked them to clarify in writing their position on the return policy. No answer.
I have four days left in the return policy. The vehicle was financed through the dealership. I just want to know if there's anything that can be done.
Have any of you had success returning a vehicle or having the dealership honor the warranty repairs? I'm pretty worried here.
TLDR: The certified car I bought has issues, they won't honor the return policy.
6 years!
6 years and still making me smile.... I think it might be serious 🤣
New Onboard Teaser of Ford LMDh

I think the Chevy LMDh finally has some competition in the sound department. What a time to be a fan.
They should bring back Crown Victoria instead of making a 4-door mustang
Might be true or rumors going around that ford is making a 4-door mustang be a equivalent of a dodge Charger and be somewhat a family vehicle but with 300+ horsepower for fun.
They should bring back crown Victoria and modernize it could be the new 4 door vehicle and people will buy because of nostalgia seeing it everywhere as kid or adult alike back then.
Ford Bronco pickup is coming back around 2030 while next gen Ranger will shift to the Blue Oval City Plant in Tennessee and be different from the global Ranger.
Bronco pickup will be produced along side the next gen Bronco and its Lincoln version in the Michigan Assembly Plant with the Ranger leaving the plant.

The Mustang Mach-E is legitimately one of the best non-truck cars Ford has made.
Very impressed with the build quality and effort they put into it. As much as people whine about the name, the car itself is way higher quality than I expected from Ford. It has so many little details/extra features that show they didn't just phone in an EV like Toyota. I got a 2025 premium and the longer I have it, the more I'm impressed by it.
- Phone as a key is so awesome, not sure why it's only available on F150, Expedition, and Mach-E but I can't live without it now. Also love the welcome lighting and pony puddle lamp.
- Interior is so much nicer than the other Ford's I've driven/been in besides top trims of certain models.
- Reliability so far is really solid. This guy's 2022 has 300k miles on it and battery is still at 90% health. Little to no maintenance.
- Performance is fantastic. 0-60mph in 4.1s (on my trim, not GT) is on par with the actual Mustang. Handling is also great for a crossover/SUV, it's a really fun car to drive for how comfortable it is. It's one of the reason I chose it over other EVs.
I feel like the car is over hated just because of the name and feel like they should've omitted the "Mustang" part, but at the same time, I personally really enjoy the pony emblems on it and the pony puddle lighting and the Mustang style headlights/taillights. Wish more people would give it a chance.
EDIT: A lot of people don't understand marketing huh? Thinking the Mustang name really hurt sales is non-sensical. The venn diagram of die hard Mustang fans and prospective EV buyers is basically non-existent. No one is cross shopping the Mach-E with a Mustang lol and no EV buyer is like "Wow I really like the Mach-E but because they called it Mustang, I'm going to get an Ioniq/Tesla instead". What Ford didn't do a good job of was actually marketing all the extra features, because I didn't know about half of them until owning the car lol. A big one for me is that the Ford Pass App is free, and you can schedule the remote start.
2025+ maverick xlt awd Gas only or 2017 F-150 5.0L 4x4
I currently own a 2007 Ford Explorer with the 4.6L 3V V8 Eddie Bauer, and I would like to replace it within the next 2 years? (If I get my financial aid for my nearly 10k worth of doctors bills, they are not related to the vehicle but life itself). if not then I will drop more money and get the torque converter looked at at that time instead.
