The Mustang Mach-E is legitimately one of the best non-truck cars Ford has made.

Very impressed with the build quality and effort they put into it. As much as people whine about the name, the car itself is way higher quality than I expected from Ford. It has so many little details/extra features that show they didn't just phone in an EV like Toyota. I got a 2025 premium and the longer I have it, the more I'm impressed by it.

  • Phone as a key is so awesome, not sure why it's only available on F150, Expedition, and Mach-E but I can't live without it now. Also love the welcome lighting and pony puddle lamp.
  • Interior is so much nicer than the other Ford's I've driven/been in besides top trims of certain models.
  • Reliability so far is really solid. This guy's 2022 has 300k miles on it and battery is still at 90% health. Little to no maintenance.
  • Performance is fantastic. 0-60mph in 4.1s (on my trim, not GT) is on par with the actual Mustang. Handling is also great for a crossover/SUV, it's a really fun car to drive for how comfortable it is. It's one of the reason I chose it over other EVs.

I feel like the car is over hated just because of the name and feel like they should've omitted the "Mustang" part, but at the same time, I personally really enjoy the pony emblems on it and the pony puddle lighting and the Mustang style headlights/taillights. Wish more people would give it a chance.

EDIT: A lot of people don't understand marketing huh? Thinking the Mustang name really hurt sales is non-sensical. The venn diagram of die hard Mustang fans and prospective EV buyers is basically non-existent. No one is cross shopping the Mach-E with a Mustang lol and no EV buyer is like "Wow I really like the Mach-E but because they called it Mustang, I'm going to get an Ioniq/Tesla instead". What Ford didn't do a good job of was actually marketing all the extra features, because I didn't know about half of them until owning the car lol. A big one for me is that the Ford Pass App is free, and you can schedule the remote start.

App subscription costs should be a deal breaker. How are Tesla, Rivian, and Ford the only ones that are free?

I will never consider an EV that requires a subscription to do climate pre-conditioning. I don't care if it's free trial for x years, it's bullshit and more people should call it out. The new Hyundai/Toyota/GM EVs might look pretty but charging $12-15 a month for basic app functions is insane and should not be accepted.

Financing a car at 3% and Capital One's 4% CD

Dealership is offering 3% financing on CPO cars and Capital one is offering 4% 12 month CD's. I was going to buy the car with cash but now considering just financing it and putting the money into a CD for 12 months. Am I missing something? Wouldn't I just net 1% (minus taxes)?

BlueCruise vs DAPP (BMW)

Has anyone had much experience using both? I'm between a used MachE and BMW i4 and think the autopilot function might be the deciding factor for me. My daily commute is 80% highway in stop and go traffic.

Used 2023 premium vs 2025 premium?

Lots of used 2023 and 2025 premiums near me for sale. Wondering if there's many differences, the 2023s are 3-5k cheaper. Also what do you guys think of the new magenta red vs the old red?

Edit: heat pump is nice but range isn't a concern for me, my daily drive is 30ish miles and I can charge at home and have a gas hybrid for road trips.

This is definitely a bit higher than I expected but my average bill is around $180-200 a month, i used 12,723 kWh last year. Does this makes sense for me? I think my breakeven is around 7.5 years at current prices. I have an EV that I charge at night.

My LG C3 panel died, help me choose a replacement

Luckily the Costco/Allstate warranty is refunding me, so I'm looking at $1000-$1500 range. I think I am going to go qled, the glare during the day was a bit annoying.

Current options are for 75":

QM6k Pro $900

TCL QM7L Pro $1500

Samsung QN80F $1300

TCL QM7k $999

Any other models I should look at? The first 3 are from Costco and come with the 5 year warranty which is nice. QM7k is at Best Buy and is an extra $220 for a 5 year.

My first sourdough! How's the crumb?

Used a starter I started about 3 weeks ago, wasn't sure if it was strong enough but wanted to give it a try. BF was around 6 hrs followed by a 14hr cold ferment. Was pretty happy with it but wondering if I should BF for longer next time.

Portable Reolink Duo 3 Setup possible?

Not sure if anyone has ever tried this, but I'm looking into the Duo 3 as a camera for recording soccer/frisbee games. It would mount on a tripod and use a battery pack like this to power it https://a.co/d/0iCtXiZh. Could I just use local storage and be able to record, or would I need to connect to it w/ wifi to be able to control it? Would I be able to connect to it directly with my phone?
