Why is PSA go to for grading?

I’m just curious I understand everybody is pro PSA because they’ve been here the longest and you’re gonna get the most money out of your graded cards if it’s a PSA card which I don’t agree with because in my opinion, the grading isn’t the name the grading is the number that’s what should command how much you get. Not to mention how many times have we seen posts about PSA ruining cards PSA miss labeling cards, PSA, conveniently losing high dollar cards to then turn around and have that same card for sale that wasn’t for sale before. There are a ton of reasons I could list as to why I don’t prefer PSA.

This is my question at what point is Beckett gonna be on the same level as PSA because they’re owned by the same company correct? At what time are all of these grading companies that Collectr owns all going to be the go to for grading and commanding that high dollar?

Did PSA damage my card?

Hey guys, I'm looking at my PSA scan completed today and I see this huge white dot here that wasn't in the initial scan nor in my raw photo of the card. Was thinking maybe it was dust but you can see the blue ink missing / ripped in the second picture. Did PSA damage my card? What can I do?

Realistic grade for this card?

Backstory: Literally the biggest Bobby Witt Jr fan here in Taiwan. Had it all the way shipped from KC! (First time buying online and first time potentially grading) Plus, it's literally the most expensive card I own.

Question: First time grading a card and I’m not sure if it’s worth sending to PSA. I’m obviously a little biased since it’s mine... so I’d really appreciate some honest opinions on what grade you guys think it might get and whether you’d send it in.

My two main concerns are a small dent on the top left of the back and the infamous All Kings bottom-edge issue. (But the bottom-edge looks alot better than all the one's i've seen online. Everything else looks pretty clean to me but I’d love to hear what you guys think.

Thank you all and have a wonderful day!

PSA eBay Consignment Payout

Has anyone else had a "payout processing" delay? I had a card sold via ebay consignment through PSA Vault with the sale date 7-22-26. Under my Sold tab it still says "payout processing" and we're coming up on almost a month later from the final sale date.

I've reached out to customer service through 3 different times and the response is always 'we're sorry about the delay but we're looking into it.' Paraphrased but you get the idea.

I've had cards sold via eBay consignment form the vault since then and already received payment through Stripe to my bank for those cards so I don't understand the long delay. I know there can be a week to week and a half delay but I've never had an issue past that with the exception of this one card.

Just gathering some opinions before I reach out to customer service a 4th time.

Thank you!

Anyone else get randomly charged $19.99?

My value plus order has been in grading for 3+ months, and I just got charged $19.99 on my credit card. Anyone else?

Update: I spoke with customer service and they stated that I was never charged for shipping when the card was initially sent in May.

Trying not to be impatient….

My cards have been in assembly for almost two weeks now. They got to the assembly process on August 7th. I know they are super backed up, and a lot of people are waiting still to get their cards back. But when I pay express, I definitely feel like I should have my cards back by now. At the very least know what the grades are.

Let us opt out…

PSA,

This is a service no one asked for…and it’s a waste of time for those of us that don’t use it.

Send my cards back and stop letting randoms throw insulting offers at me nonstop…

Let folks opt out of this joke of a program

How is this a 10? Clear mark on the forehead

Hello. I have this Pikachu card, but am curious as to how this is a 10? Even with the naked eye there is visable dark spot on the pikachus forehead. Could it be a mistake that this got a 10 grade?

Is this PSA slab counterfeit?

Just received this Adrian Beltre card in the mail, that I ordered off of eBay. When I put the cert number in my PSA app to log it, it showed the cert number was already taken by a Wembanyama card. The card and slab both feel/look legit, but I don’t understand how this is possible. eBay seller had good reviews too and didn’t seem fishy to me

Any Guess what this would Grade?

As the title states I’m curious what this would grade with the amount of very heavy whitening on the entire perimeter of the card. My best guess is a 2-3 but I would love to hear from people who have more experience submitting non NM cards since that’s all I’ve ever submitted before. Thank you!

Be wary of PSA booths, specifically CardsHQ in Atlanta Ga

I submitted a Moonbreon that ended up getting a 6. I am by no means a professional grader however I know which cards have a shot at getting a 10. (Mainly pokemon). When I asked PSA to do an investigation on the submission I had to thoroughly explain the submission process to the investigator because he didn’t know about submission centers. He then explained they “cannot” pull video footage of the due to an undisclosed tech issue. I am getting a moonbreon returned raw, my grading fee fully refunded and $150 promo credit. The investigation has taken about 2 months with little to no contact throughout the process. The investigator alluded that legal action may get the video to be extracted but that’s not a route I’m able to go. So just be wary of when you submits your cards to PSA.

EDIT I suspect that one of the employees at the satellite office swapped my card for his. I’m not sure why but this post isn’t letting me add photos.

Second edit. first two pics are of the graded card, second set are of my card

Third edit: front and back

PSA: take detailed photos of everything you submit for grading.

I think PSA lost my card.

For context I sent this card in to be cross graded at the end of April with the Regular service tier (at the time, 25 business days). It was supposed to be done early-mid JUNE. It’s now almost September and there’s been no update. Every time I call or write a email requesting support, I get the same generic “we’re so busy and it’ll be done” and whatever else they can spew at me. What do I do in this situation?

Express order in QA for 4 weeks

Hi all,
As the title suggests, my express order of ~12 cards (mostly vintage) have been stuck in QA for four weeks now.
I was wondering what might be causing this (aside from the backlog issue).
Is it possible there is an issue with the cards? Could they have become lost in the process?
Thank you!

Trying to decide if I should grade

I have these two metal cards and I'm wondering if they seem worth grading. I sent them off through GameStop in February but they wouldn't grade them that way so I know I'll have to send them myself. Do they look at least 9 worthy?
