Got my first migi…. What kind of soil should I use? I’m thinking succulent/cactus soil might hold too much moisture; so perhaps bonsai soil?

What kind of soil should I use? Thanks

Pseudolithos migiurtinus

Two of my pseudolithos migiurtinus. I water them every 8 days or so since they grow with my welwitschias which get high humidity. They have grown so much and always wanting to flower but I feel like this species will flower regardless.

My P. cubiformis is blooming🪰

Visually? Stunning. Those dark burgundy star flowers are everything.
The smell? Deadliest odor out of all my Pseudolithops. My room is a crime scene right now. 🤢

Probably migiurtinus × dodosonianus

Picked it up for that chunky, chaotic growth form. Flowers look more like dodosonianus, but the smell is pure migiurtinus.

Growing P. Mccoyi from seed - are these seedlings okay?

I have been growing these Pseudolithos mccoyi from seed and they are now around 11 months old. During winter they mostly stopped growing because I did not have additional heating and I only watered very sparingly. With the warmer weather they have started growing again.

I’m wondering if anyone here has experience raising Pseudolithos from seed. I was thinking of waiting a bit longer before repotting them individually, but I’m concerned about them becoming too tall/slender and possibly falling over.

I now water every 1-2 Weeks and they are under a Sansi growlight which seems to work well with the other other cubiofrmis and migiurtinus seedlings.

Substrate is a mineral mix (akadama, diatomaceous earth chunks, pumice, zeolite, lava rock)

Any advice or experiences with young Pseudolithos mccoyi would be appreciated!

Finally I bought one!

I am in the Philippines which ai says the temperature range is good. But just be careful about the humidty, keep it in a windy place. Check color changes to adjust for too much direcr sun and water only if dry and if it will quickly dry. Any other advice? I dont know when it goes dormant if at all in a tropical climate or how to detect or what to do then.

Is my migiurtinus ok?

I feel like the heat we are having now in Spain is shriveling or damaging my pseudo. What do you all think?
