Why does Psylocke have a butterfly esthetic? Is her mutation "coded" like that? Is it a style she likes? Is it simply inspired by Psyche (Greek Goddess)?

I tried making a custom of Betsy, but personally, I feel like it turned out horrible.

It took me two months to finish it, tell me your thoughts

(I don't get angry with criticism)

The truth about British betsy

Why do Psylocke fans want British Betsy to be a ninja who resides in kwannons body? Because they know that British Betsy pre body swap was a ridiculously weak character that would have been forgotten to the sands of time. She couldn't fight. Her telepathy was weaker than every other top tier telepath. And she was boring ASF. Once she was placed in the body of kwannon her popularity sired! Video game appearances! Top 5 lists of hottest X-Men etc.

What's In a Name

So there's a lot of insistence from people who have seen the Topps card that it is definitive proof that the Psylocke in the series is Kwannon.

However, all signs from within the show itself point to it being Betsy: she has Betsy's storyline, Betsy's voice (in the comics, Kwannon does not speak with a British accent), and Betsy's personality. The actress is even saying she hopes she does "Betsy" justice on Instagram! Betsy originated the knife and the butterfly. The swap was a retcon that unfolded in the comics while the original series was airing, beforehand the "swap" was purely a cosmetic change to Betsy's body.

All that said, if despite this they still named the character Kwannon, how would that be a good thing for her as a character? I am sincerely asking, because to me it feels like it's reducing Kwannon to a name and a body, nothing else. Why is that preferred? We should be pushing for her to have Kwannon's personality, Kwannon's relationships.

And before someone says "well Kwannon doesn't have her own personality" she absolutely does. She is not nearly as self hating or as murder-happy as Betsy is... And she is more motherly and stealthy, something the character so far is not in the X-Men 97.

Psylocke Cameo in Tōkon: Fighting Souls

She appears as one of the randomized background NPCs on the X Mansion stage.

Deleted the original post cause I forgot to include the word "cameo" which felt like I was misleading people

I don't know where it's from, but I saw that someone posted it on Twitter.

Boy**:**

>"Thor is so outdated!" / "Thor is so old news!"
"Now it's all about Psylocke!"

Girl:

>"Oh, I see..." / "Is that so?..."
