Danger of anesthesia dental cleanings

Hi everyone! Fellow pug parent here who lost my 13yo sweetheart this week.

I feel super compelled to warn as many people as possible about the high danger of anesthesia dental care for brachycephalic dogs such as pugs, Boston Terriers, boxers, etc.

While getting the breathing tube put in, the vet damaged my pug’s trachea, which led to 6 months of wheezing and coughing that came and went in waves, turned into pneumonia last Sunday, and we had to put her to sleep Tuesday. I KNOW she’d still be alive if we had known the dangers of putting air tubes into her airway, and would have opted for a different approach for dental care.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE think twice before doing any procedure that requires a breathing tube to be inserted for your pug. If I had known the risks, my sweet furbaby would still be here. If I can help just ONE pug, my mission will be complete. Thank you to anyone who has read this.

10 month old pug pregnant

Howdy Internet,

I know all the negative, non-productive comments I could get from posting this on the internet, so please resist that urge.... so hopefully this can be a productive conversation.

My female black pug that is 10 months old ended up getting pregnant from my 5 year old boy. The plan was certainly to wait till she was older, but things happened. We still want her to have babies now or in the future.

What I'm hoping to get out of making this post is.... if any one that has gone through with the pregnancy with a pug that young and did they end up trying to do a natural birth? Go the planned C-Section route? or went towards natural, but then ended up having an emergency C-section.

I know I could go the Chemical Abortion route... the vet says they can do that after 30 days.

I know I can do a spay and abortion, but then she can never have puppies.

I just want to know some one that has done it... as we are putting a plan together. Were only 1 week into this now and have time to decide on things.

Seperation depression?

Anyone have a pug that won't wreck shit when u leave. They sleep on your clothes and don't even eat till you come home. Seperation anxiety usually mean destruction but he's an angel that loves me more than I deserve.
