Shoe repairs

I am not sure how to go about this but these are my shoes I wear when I’m out and about. I have put some E 6000 on them and held the inside of the sole with tape but I would like to know how you’d fix this because I’m sure it won’t hold up for very long.

No money for jewelry? Just make some

I’ve been wanting some new jewelry recently and one thing has been cuffs and bangles. I didn’t have all the materials and certainly not $40+ to spend on one pair of new real leather jewelry.

I wasn’t quite sure what material to start with as I had leftover leather from a torn coat, but it was too flimsy. So I figured the next closest thing is a leather belt. I picked up a few from the thrift shop and measured and cut them.

I have some metal bits and pieces I’ve hoarded and bought for other/previous DIY projects. So I just figured out from images online how I should construct it. And here’s the results. I think they turned out quite alright, they still need an inner lining to hide the metal paper stud

Which execution is better

Im attaching some English studs to my Jacket. Should my prongs be flat across or can I dig them into my jacket like this, at a much more slanted angel. Laying it flat seems to un-do itself. Is it okay to do it the way on the right?

Can I bring this with me?

I have this spiked bracelet I like wearing, im wondering if I can pack it in my suitcase and bring it on a plane. Tried posting this in the travel subreddit, but it got removed because it said to search first. I did that, and I found a lot of mixed answers. The spikes are less than an inch (like half an inch) and I was planning on putting it in a zip lock bag with the rest of my jewelry in my suitcase. Im flying allegiant, not sure if that makes a difference. They have a general list of prohibited items, but didn't really say anything about jewelry or spiked jewelry.

A short tutorial video on how I make patches for my band!

DIY is the backbone of the punk scene. The paints, fabric, and plastic used for the stencil are all materials that otherwise would have been thrown away, instead they are being repurposed!

Creeping Embers have plans for a variety of patch designs, not just these, so keep an eye out and come to our shows if you want to get some!

My First Vest

I've had them for a few years now, and I've just sewn everything back on really securely.

The vest was made from an old Bundeswehr jacket.

Crust pants wip

The pants are volcom I’ve been making progress on them slowly for like 3 years? I posted these before with barely any work on them but they are stillll being worked on I need to add zippers and blah blah. They fit a bit big sadly but I need a good way to shrink them (repost since the other pics were weird)

Spike helmet update

a few weeks back i made a post asking for advice on how to attach spikes to my helmet. I honestly didn't expect to get this many comments, thank you all so much for the advice.

I originally wanted to go with plain soda cans look but I didn't like it. Then I got inspired by a comment that said to go with fabric spikes. I kinda mashed those ideas together and essentially made a fabric cover for the can spikes. Sewed that to a spare piece of denim and superglued on some velcro strips (so i can take them off and transport it easier).

There's some light fixing that needs to be done since I already took it to a 2 day festival but overall, a great success :)
