Purolator and their "Attempted" deliveries

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with Purolator deliveries specifically in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

It seems like they often don’t even attempt delivery and instead send the package to the pickup location on Pembina. I’ve noticed that when Purolator is delivering to my apartment building, they don’t seem to attempt to access the building at all.

Our building has specific access codes for deliveries, and I can see when those codes are used. Not once has Purolator used the delivery code, yet somehow the tracking will say “delivery attempted” or “unable to deliver.”

I’ve never had this issue with Canada Post, DragonFly, Amazon, or other couriers. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing with Purolator in Winnipeg? Does anyone know why this happens despite clear delivery instructions? We also have a secured area for deliveries to be dropped off.

Also, does anyone know which companies/stores commonly use Purolator for shipping? I’d honestly prefer to avoid them in the future if possible. The drive to pick up a package from Pembina is actually more inconvenient than just going to the store myself. 😅

Is it lost

Went back and forth to Etobicoke from the local depot. Should I file a charge back with the company?

Isn't it so nice to work for a large cooperation for free?

Got woken up this morning by a random driver ding dong ditching us! He had apparently tried to deliver to 2001 instead of 201, beat on our door like some kind of emergency, and then ran to the elevators when he realized it was the wrong apartment. Huh?

There I stand then in my bathrobe, no package, no one there. It's not even our package in the first place; we're waiting for Amazon. I call the office who tells me a Purolator truck just left. Huhh??

This is a constant issue here; every apartment has a buzzer number (he probably found us in the directory and thought 201/2001? Close enough!) but the buzzer is never communicated between order and delivery. So we've once missed a AC delivery in the middle of a heat wave before, because they claimed "we weren't there", when they never even "rang the bell". I see "we missed you"-slips on the door all the time, which doesn't make any sense (unless signature is needed), because the system calls our phones. We could be at work or at the grocery store and buzz you up, so that's just straightup BS.

Just spent two hours trying to file a complaint of a technical issue. The chat "customer representatives" are just dumb AIs that keep asking me for the tracking number or receiver, though I keep telling them that I'm not actually the receiver.

Then I called, waiting time 45 min. Ok, so I request callback, they call me 30 min later, and there's no one on the other end. For a minute and a half I try to talk to them, ask to call back, hang up. Of course no one calls back. So I call again, staying in the line this time.

when I finally reach someone, the Lady basically blames apartment 201: They must've given the wrong code. I tell her: that's the exact issue. There's no way to do that most of the time. The driver confused 201 and 2001. So now she wants to file a complaint with local management to punish the driver. And I mean, sure, ding dong ditching is pretty rude (a simple "sorry wrong door" would've done the trick), but that's not the issue here, is it??

So, I insist; I want to file a complaint about internal technical errors, not with driver management. Purolator needs to find a way for residents to give their buzzer number when ordering the delivery. Our building can't possibly be the only place affected. She says, management will listen to the recording of the call and take action. Suuuurreee...!

Two hours later, and we've got some empty promise as a result. I called my building management again, to tell them that, if 201 is missing their package, they need to call Purolator to give them their buzzer code (that's what I did after the AC was delayed by a week). So, in summary, Purolator fcked up, so I inform the management, so they can inform 201, so they can inform Purolator, so they can do their damn job.

What is this timeline we live in??

Why has purolator express stopped being reliable for next day delivery

I don't know what it is but since the last two weeks both of the packages I shipped as express have taken 2 days, then the most recent one took 3 whole days, every other package I've ever had shipped has taken 1 day without fail, what's going on with purolator?

Is it actually possible to get something redelivered?

Just curious. I was expecting a large, important delivery. So after Purolator failed to deliver it, I went to their website to ask for a rescheduled delivery. The chat bot assured me it would be delivered the next day. This did not happen. Nor did it happen the next day.

So my question is, can you actually get a delivery rescheduled, or is that just not a thing they ever do?

The tracking info says it's at the depot waiting to be picked up. It's possible for me to go pick it up, I just don't understand why they would say it's going to be redelivered if that's not happening.

Package stolen?

I ordered a book for school, and they did not attempt delivery so I ask them to drop it off at the nearest location for pickup.

It becomes available and I go pick it up the next day. I get there and they tell me it’s been picked up, my id was verified AND there was a signature (clearly not mine). Do we think it was the employees or someone random. Or do we think they actually have it there still and just didn’t check.

Also, my package still says it’s available for pickup, which is not true, I assume if it was taken they would’ve scanned it and it would’ve said delivered or something?

I opened a case but I’m not hopeful, I understand whoever may have stolen it will be disappointed it’s a book. What do I do from here, I’m quite frustrated.

My question is, how did these scammers even get my number?

So I had a Canada post package that was supposed to be delivered today. That somehow got marked as addressing error. Yet when reaching out to CA Post they said they have my correct address. Shortly after it goy marked as addressing error I got this text claiming to be purolator (yet my package is delivered by CA Post) so instantly knew it was a scam, followed up by a very obviously phishing/scam website link, and the morrocan phone number.

How is it possible they got my phone number based off the tracking number? Super strange and fishy to me.

Is this normal for ground shipments?

I've been waiting on a guitar for a while, it's pretty much a cross-country long haul so I'm wondering if it just went straight onto a truck and headed out this way.

Will never buy any product so long as Purolator is delivering

For 3 days I've been waiting to get my monitor from Dell. Three days waiting at home although I know that's not technically necessary. And now twice, they have not delivered because they are a terrible courier. Here's what they say:

Tracking #EWN001789230

Fri. Aug. 7, 2026 - 11:10 a.m. TORONTO, ON Unable to deliver - receiver unavailable Fri. Aug. 7, 2026 - 8:01 a.m. TORONTO, ON On vehicle for delivery Fri. Aug. 7, 2026 - 3:40 a.m. NORTH YORK, ON Arrived at sort facility Thu. Aug. 6, 2026 - 7:47 a.m. NORTH YORK, ON Available for pickup for 5 business days from arrival date at the counter Wed. Aug. 5, 2026 - 7:18 p.m. NORTH YORK, ON Available for pickup for 5 business days from arrival date at the counter Wed. Aug. 5, 2026 - 5:17 p.m. NORTH YORK, ON Available for pickup for 5 business days from arrival date at the counter Wed. Aug. 5, 2026 - 10:37 a.m. TORONTO, ON Unable to deliver - receiver unavailable Wed. Aug. 5, 2026 - 7:46 a.m. TORONTO, ON On vehicle for delivery

This is a complete fabrication. There were no delivery attempts, either on the 5th or 7th. I was home for 3 days waiting. I have a condominium with a locked parcel room that the concierge permits access to for couriers. We have an electronic valet system with a phone app where the courier could just call me directly and I could have let them in from anywhere. I have no missed calls on the valet system. I have no delivery slips. I have no missed calls.

As Dell certianly knows, Purolator drivers lie in order to finish their run at the end of the day, and just bring all the undelivered packages back to the depot. Yet, you continue to use them. Maybe they are the cheapest.

I contacted Dell Customer Care, a woman named Khusi. I spoke to her yesterday and she assured me she would speak to logistics and make sure it was delivered today, August 7th. Well, never happened. Again.

So I've advised her that I no longer want the package. I needed a monitor and I've purchased it elsewhere in person this morning. I've advised them that I will never buy another Dell product so long as Purolator is doing the logistics.

We need to punish companies that participate in Enshitification.
