Havind a horrible experience with Purolator

My new gazebo was picked up from Rona on June 23 and it`s still not delivered as of today July 3 and I was essentially given the run-around of having to make an appointement and shipping errors , etc... and note that since I am retired my availability is excellent and they have the correct delivery info and still they never contacted me , all they have to do is to drop it off in front of my garage door , nobody is going to steal a 120 pound box that is 7 foot long. I can't believe how incompetent and disfunctionnal Purolator has become.

How long does a package investigation take?

Does anyone know how long it takes for an investigation on a missing package?

The tracking shows that package is at their wearhouse and there hasn't been any movement since June 19th.

The won't refund me and told me that the seller needs to refund me. I reached out to the company that I purchased from, and Purolator is telling them that the packaging is at the wearhouse.

I've spent like 4-5 hours tracking this down, and now im spending more time writing this post.

I asked Purolator what their timeframe is with the investigation, and i haven't heard back.

So if anyone has any insights, I would really appreciate it.

why is purolator distinctly awful

For my work I receive around 10 shipments (usually 2-4 packages each) from a myriad of companies. Specifically FedEx, UPS, Canada Post, and of course Purolator.

How the hell is it that Purolator is the ONLY company that I consistently have issues with. Like genuinely 9/10 shipments never reach my home. 2/9 undelivered will ever have a doortag provided, and the ones that don't seem to be a hellscape to retrace.

My rage has been sparked by a particular incident where my company sent me 4 packages that never arrived, apparently they attempted to deliver and sent them back when no one picked them up. My company sent 4 new packages, before they could blame me for not being home again, I changed the delivery address to arrive at a pick up location. 4 days later, ERROR ATTENTION DELIVERY DELAYED!!!

I called and they told me "looks like they were waiting for approval to be sent to the pick up location, I will give it now".

Alas I am notified that they arrived. Low and behold only 3/4 did.

I called again "one was put in a different truck and it should arrive tomorrow"

I went to the pick up location, NOPE.

I called again "the address had an error".

How can 1/4 of the packages have the wrong address when they were all shipped around together and literally look identical 😭.

Now I am waiting for this last package for a job I should've finished over 2 weeks ago. If it was ANY other company I would've had 0 issues. I have no clue who the hell would keep choosing Purolator for their packages, and you can't convince me that they AREN'T conducting some dubious business to continue running.

Purolator is a nightmare, cancelled my delivery twice and now won’t tell me where to pick it up

When I say Purolator is HORRIBLE, I’m not even exaggerating because what is actually going on? 😭

I ordered a scooter from Best Buy on June 23. It was supposed to be delivered on June 25, but Purolator cancelled the delivery because it was “heavy weight processing” and they needed two drivers. They then said I needed to book an appointment for delivery, so I did for Monday, June 29.

Fast forward to Monday they cancelled again for the same “heavy weight processing” reason.
I called again and requested to pick it up myself. I’ve been asking to pick it up since Friday, June 26, but they kept telling me it would be delivered on Monday, June 29.
Now I’m scheduled for a pickup, and they still haven’t given me any updates, a location, or even told me who I’m supposed to contact.

How is this acceptable? I’ve been waiting almost a week, and every time I get a different answer. Has anyone else dealt with Purolator’s “heavy weight processing” issue?

How is this company still in operation?

I never have issues with Canada Post or Fed Ex but literally ever Purolator delivery is completely incompetent.

- lies about attempted delivery ✅

- absolutely unbearable and rude customer service team - including managers ✅

I am not buying from any company that uses them moving forward. They actually delight in making their customers miserable.

Rail Delay

2 days in a row “Shipment is on the vehicle for delivery” in Edmonton only to be tagged end of day as delayed in transit.

What a shit show of a company, customer care has no clue where the package is.

Courier left attempted delivery note on my condo unit door without knocking when I was at home in the living room near the door!

Where's the attempt to deliver? Like we're expected to just wait outside for the delivery. Courier would've heard the TV sounds too.

I F*cking hate Purolator!

Second consecutive time now I received a notice that an “Attempt to deliver” was made which is such BS. Security cameras have NO RECORD of an attempt being made. Never mind that my entire family is at home and expecting the doorbell to ring or have a knock at the door.

Now I have to drive 30-40 minutes away to pick up my package!

Retailers… if you use Purolator to ship your goods to me on your website, my business goes elsewhere. This is such BS!

Missing 3 Boxes After Customs Clearance – Purolator Says They Never Received Them

I'm hoping someone here can offer some advice.

I shipped 12 boxes from China to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan using a freight forwarder. The shipment arrived in Canada as cargo freight and was cleared through customs in Delta, BC.

The issue is that I only received 9 out of the 12 boxes.

For the remaining 3 boxes, the Purolator tracking only shows:

  • June 3, 2026 – 11:34 PM: Shipper created a label
  • June 4, 2026 – 12:06 AM: Label information electronically submitted

There have been no updates since then.

When I first contacted Purolator, they told me they had never received these packages. I then contacted my shipper/freight forwarder, and they insisted that all 12 boxes cleared customs together and were handed over for delivery.

Based on that information, Purolator opened a tracing case. They searched for the missing boxes for several days but ultimately could not locate them and closed the tracing case without finding the packages.

At this point, I'm stuck between the shipper saying the boxes were handed over and Purolator saying they cannot find any evidence that they ever physically received them.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation?

  • Is it possible for cargo to clear customs but never get scanned into Purolator's system?
  • Who would normally be responsible in this situation—the freight forwarder or Purolator?
  • What additional proof should I request from the shipper to confirm the packages were actually handed over?
  • Is there any other action I can take to locate the missing boxes or file a claim?

The shipment contains valuable goods, and I'm concerned that the boxes may have been lost somewhere between customs clearance and final delivery.

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Courier partner to do overflow Delivery

Hi Everyone,

I have recently found out that Purolator works with a contractor to do overflow delivery during high volume times. I have a small logistics company and I wanted to apply for Purolator to do their overflow delivery but I have no idea where to apply and I don't know what position to apply for this type of work. I was wondering if anyone here can help me out? I just need an opportunity to grow my business. I would appreciate any help.
