This is my first 1/16 RC tank. It’s from Henglong, Leopard A6 with TK 7.0 motherboard. I did some upgrades on the cosmetics. The stock performance is okay to drive on shallow grassland. So far I really like this tank!
Got my very first RC Tank- Henglong Tiger 1. After powering ON for the first time hearing its engine roar & firing its Big Gun; the experience is so awesome & exhilarating !!
Maybe I am being too much of a perfectionist, but this is an incredible amount of work…especially painting everything. I had to re-do 64 screws three times just to be sure the paint was good, but I’m not even halfway done!
My latest build, a nerf firing tank. The tracks, suspension and transmissions are 3d models from makerworld , the rest is my own design. Arduino controlled, with semi and auto firing modes, laser sight, head, tail and brake lights, oled screen, rev beeper, wifi cam scavenged from a cheap drone and led muzzle flash.
55 turn motors running 3s power. Fun and challenging build..and great fun to play with.
I'm working on two tiger builds soon to be 3. I have two Heng Long tigers that I am converting to mid and late war versions. I receiving parts for another all metal tiger that will be an early version. The Heng Long builds will match the finish Mato all metal build, Tiger 100 of the 507th. I'm not sure what unit i will go with for the early version Mato. I have a video build log going that covers parts and modifications.
Big announcement! I'm running a second SoCal RC Tank Club anime/fictioned themed tank battle meet event 12/6/26! My club and the visitors in June really enjoyed how it went the first time being so different than our usual atmosphere. So by their demand, they wanted me to put together another one and make this a bi-annual event! I am happy to invite you all to my club's second fiction+anime themed RC tank battle on December 6th in Huntington Beach, CA. I kind of want to give it a soft convention vibe where fans can meet and discuss all the games and media we geek out over on the topic of tanks.
If you want to battle: All RC tanks equipped for IR battles are welcome, regardless of genre, history, or theme or lack of theme. You can bring your usual tanks if you already come. All are welcome! The theme is just there for those who want to participate. IR system must have LegoDEI V2 or V4 receivers. IR emitters should be tuned to eliminate the "shotgun" pattern (-9mm IR bulb back spacing).
