A glitch caused images in posts invisible and a link visible to access those images instead. It's been so much of a better experience ever since. I'm not overwhelmed after 5 minutes of usage and mindfully read posts instead of just skimming the text with major focus on the visuals. Weird but okay for me!
P.s. I use the web version on Brave to limit my screentime as it's less appealing and comfortable as compared to the app. Also, I got my account wrongfully banned and ever since, Brave has been my lifeline to be on reddit🥹 If Reddit is hearing this plea, please respond to my mail request to unban my old home.
