This old gal was roughly bought in mid/late-70’s, so I’m calling it 50. Regularly used and purrs like a kitten. Zero maintenance, kinda nuts the cheap little fan motor doesn’t hesitate when I crank it to High every time.

Sears on Coral Way opened its doors on October 27th of 1954. The store was expanded and remodeled in 1997. Here are some pictures of some newspaper articles and the construction of the store, as well as the pictures from 2001, 2017, 2018, 2023, 2024 and even some pictures of hands on showroom Kenmore Studio last year. As for the Kmart nearby (1977 - present) in Kendall Lakes Plaza - it is just about the size of a Radio Shack now. It is the last one in the continental United States AND one of 3 left in the United States (the other 2 are in the USVI and Guam).

A few months back I posted on here how this was an Outlet store. In May, they announced they were closing their doors, here is how it looks as of today. The books are 5 for 25 right now and fixtures are on sale

This was taken back in 2019 one of the longest lasting Sears in the United States of America this store that opened on November 5th of 1932 later had a Kmart on the lower level back in 2018 and even after closing on November 21st of 2021 this building is still standing today

When you walk into the store there's basically a replica of Downtown Boston made out of Jellybeans, and they have a Ropes Course, Water Show, and IMAX in that place (not to mention they have Ice Cream & Fuddruckers)!

Closed in 2020

Located in the Southcenter Mall near Seattle Washington. This place was originally Borders Books. This merger is basically almost similar to Kmart acquiring Sears as orchestrated by Lampert. Still interesting to hear. How is this going to end ?

The one at Town Line plaza in Rocky Hill

This store has some leftover relics from the mid-2000s when this store was opened / renovated.

​

The whole store seems somewhat tacky with some modern day renovations while keeping the old tile floors and older checkout lights.

This Home Depot in Hanover PA took over the former Kmart space once the store was closed in 2002. The exterior is very well preserved.

Stopped by the former North Hanover Mall this afternoon. Other than Rural King, the mall is completely dead. The condemned structure stickers are still on all the doors to the mall. What’s surprising is the lights are still on inside.

Helpppp, I found these tops today at TJ Maxx and they only has size XS. Dying to know if anyone has found a size large. Live in KCMO.
