Why do some fans hate hina from blue blox?

why do alot of people hate hina?

like bro she's just a girl inlove, and admit it in irl you'd even do the same thing because that's what love is.

i totally get your point, she can be annoying smt like that but think about it, she expressed herself and her feelings in a genuine way, she told him the mc, her feelings instead of hiding it and probably get to her answers... now that she got it—why are fans still hating on her?

i hate it because i rly loved the show and wanted both girls to win 😔

and she's not shiori for fans to hate her that much, seeing her cry is alr enough... 🥹

Tune into the Midnight Heart supremacy

Hi! I’m new to this subreddit, so I’m not really sure what the general opinion on the harem genre is here, especially given how much fanservice it usually has.

However, I started reading Tune into the Midnight Heart by Masakuni Igarashi a while ago, and now that I’m caught up with the manga, I can honestly appreciate how good this story is.

The dynamics between the girls and the MC (who is actually a great guy), the comedy, and the character designs are unmatched compared to any other harem manga I’ve read.

I could go on about why I like it so much, but I’m mainly curious about the community’s opinion. Is Tune into the Midnight Heart generally considered a “gooner” manga because of the classic harem tropes and fanservice, or do you guys see it as a genuinely good harem/romcom?

Rascal does not dream series: can someone help me understand these ideas? The og sub keeps auto removing my posts.

THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS TO ANYONE WHO HAS NOT WATCHED SEASON 1 OF THE SHOW

I just finished watching season 1 after many people recommended it to me, and overall I love the story and am gonna watch the movie tomorrow, but there’s certain things I’m either overthinking or just genuinely curious about. Btw I have a lot of questions so bear with me I’m still new to this.

EVERYTHING BELOW THIS IS A POTENTIAL SPOILER

For starters, I have not read the manga, I don’t have the money to buy the manga of every series I enjoy nor the patience to wait for them, so all my info is based off of the anime itself. If you plan to help me with this at all please correct me if my problem could be solved with info that’s in the manga but not the anime.

>!Alright, so the biggest fish imo is the fact that they can be physically hurt and scarred just by going through with traumatic things, like Sakutas chest marks and Kaede’s bruises and cuts. Are these scars and bruises visible to all or is it more of a metaphorical thing portrayed in a physical way, and does this tie into the whole “puberty syndrome”?!<

>!The second thing is Mai being invisible. This idea just baffles me. I’m still not fully registering the fact she can interact with things and be world famous but at the same time invisible to everyone. I also don’t get how their memories fade of Mai once they slept through. The last part is how does it be one of the most climactic things in the beginning but never seem to occur again or be brought up? I like the concept, it just confuses me.!<

>!Third is the Laplace’s demon concept with Tomoe. Is she consciously controlling the time and resetting it to be with Sakuta or is it coincidental. I know rio addresses it as “rolling the dice” but it still doesn’t register to me how she controls it. Is she an actual demon? Is she human? IS THIS STORY EVEN ON EARTH? I have no idea.!<

>!Fourthly, what is the situation with Shoko. I can’t tell if she is supposed to be a real person or like a coping mechanism for Sakuta to get over the grief of not being able to help Kaede when she was being bullied. She always comes back through his imagination with the whole “horizon past four kilometers” and everything, but besides the middle school version visiting the cat and the high school version “coincidentally” appearing with Sakuta after Kaede regains her memory I can’t entirely believe she is a true person. I feel like I make a decent point.!<

>!Lastly, but definitely not least. What is this world? Is this set in like an alternate universe where puberty can rewrite people’s lives instantaneously? I mean we’ve had invisibility and memory loss, the Laplace’s demon theory, physical (maybe visible I’m not sure) wounds inflicted by non physical actions, swapping bodies and time control. Are all of the things that are happening a figment of imagination in Sakuta or someone’s eyes that are used as like a metaphor to some of the situations they go through, or is it literally happening as it is being shown? That is all I have question wise.!<

Btw if you know some of the answers to this, but you’re informed on it later on in the anime, please just tell me to watch the anime and udon’t spoil it. This is one of the only anime’s I enjoy that hasn’t been spoiled yet and I plan to enjoy the potential plot twists. But if you do have an answer that is from the manga and is addressed somewhere along the part of the story I have covered please tell me.

Romance anime where the childhood friend beats the new flashy girl that shows up

I hate the trope where the childhood friend has spent the whole life by his side been his one true anchor and been the most impactful person to them and then they just ignore her for the new flashy girl who just showed up like the childhood friend has done so much more for the mc. I have had a hard time finding one like this

My Top 15 as a beginner (2 months)

I dont like animes that take themselves too seriously, id rather watch a funny, silly animation anime with a little drama/being serious when it has to be (confession scenes) That also has a good/interesting factor (mdud: guy makes cosplay fits for girl classmate or pseudo harem where its not actually a harem instead only one girl with many different personalities). Fan service doesn’t bother me too much. It shouldn’t be a ruining factor if the rest of the anime is good. And love triangles are good if done well, the big reveal either leaves a scar or heals one, just like in the anime. Still planning ln watching many more.

1.The Quintessential Quintuplets

  1. Nisekoi: False love

  2. My Dress Up Darling

  3. Dont toy with me miss Nagatoro

5.Not a married couple but more than lovers

  1. Pseudo Harem

  2. I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class

  3. The expierienced you and the inexpiereienced me

  4. Can a Boy-Girl friendship survive?

  5. And you though there is never a girl online

  6. My First Girlfriend is a Gal

  7. My Teen Romantic Comedy

  8. Hokkaido Gals are Super addorable

  9. The second prettiest girl in school

  10. Gals cant be kind to Otaku?

Rom anime recs with ML similar to Miyamura from Horimiya?

I love his hair, piercings, tatts. Love also how he’s gentle, kind, easy-going, empathetic. Would love to see more ML like him in some other romances. Thanks!

I've unfortunately watched every dub it feels, anything else that might give me lil heart flutters?

I like to watch anime while doing something else at the same time with picture in picture, so I've been mostly hitting the dubbed romance. Let me tell you my favorites and give you an idea of what I've seen.

Favorites are easily - I want to end this love game, more than a married couple but not Lovers, ramparts of ice, Tomo is a girl, uzaki wants to hang out, and maybe a tossup between masamunes revenge (it's genuinely ass for most of the run time but a couple of the characters are really well written) or bottom tier tomozaki.

I've seen all the big ones like polar opposites, second prettiest girl, fragrant flower, lvl999 Yamada, wotakoi, toradora, tonikawa, Angel next door, MDUD, lovely complex, gals can't love otaku.

I'm starting to spread out into sub only stuff now with half my time, but it would be really nice to have a few more shows I can check out while I'm doing something mindless on a different monitor.

I've already tried asking copilot gpt and other AI for suggestions a few times and it's getting worse and worse at recommending things now lol. I've also browsed through some top posts here and hit the sticky.

Also if it isn't clear from my favorites, I'm fine with a bit of ecchi/fan service

I really appreciate it! 😁

Stupidly shy characters

I just wondered if anyone had such troubles when they were 16-18 that they went crazy from some boobs touching their back, and such things..

I was a really shy boy, but such things didnt bother me at all.. Holdings hands though was troublesome, but far from as quirky as they make it out to be..

Is it a cultural thing, since public signs of affection are more unusual in Japan?

Romance Anime With An Actual "Plot"?

I mean I enjoy slow-burn and slice of life but it gets too repetitive sometimes. I feel like I want something where it has an actual goal they are striving for or such rather than the romance itself and maybe some character development or plot device for the romance to happen being the entire plot.

And preferably not entirely episodic, or if it is, then it should actually have progression. I felt like I wasted 1000 chapters Detective Conan for like almost nothing to happen related to the main plot.

Not sure if this makes any sense. I just don't want something where the entire point is that they confess and series is over. Who knows maybe i'm asking for a completely different genre right now but it feels repetitive and boring to read the same type of story even if the characters or development is different or smth.

Also preferably NOT fantasy, isekai, and historical ones.

I've so far liked Mdud and Fuufu no Ijou (the manga is infinitely better than the anime) and i've watched and read a humongous amount of literally every other genre. I didn't like Horimiya at all and Toradora was meh for me which are controversial opinions. I'm looking for something more different though.

Again maybe wrong genre or subreddit, and I also may be ignorant but most of what everyone reccomends isn't what I'm looking for, but any reccomendations?

Ecchi done right? Wataki-run ****** is about to collapse

I watched the anime not long ago. It wasn't my type of anime since the female cast is way sexualized and it's kinda of a harem where everyone wants to be with the male protagonist. I remember watching it and about halfway getting anxious with "will this ever get any good?".

Fellas, it does! I finished watching it and after some pondering I was still unsure of many things, specially Satsuki's story and why she acted like that. I did some googling chatgpt'ing and was told the manga can expand quite a bit. I re-read the most important parts, mainly breaks 41-42 >!(the part where they go visit her foster family)!<, and then from break 67 or so to the end >!(starting when she finally accepts trying again to have a relationship with Naoto after all he does to find her again, shout-out Tokui for pulling the right strings)!<.

And I want to put my case on why this is a case of ecchi done right. To do that tho, I will need to rely on heavy spoilers, so proceed with caution.

LAST WARNING, HEAVY SPOILERS AHEAD!

>!My perspective changed when I realized she was an emotionally abandoned child. Her mother was pretty and would leave her behind to go out and have fun. Shortly after starting to work for her daughter's future foster family, she ran away. So picture this: she was probably already neglected by her mother, then mother runs away. She shuts helself up through middle school, unsure of how to handle this. Her only good relationship was with Naoto, so she seeks him and goes after him with the only thing she knows: her looks. It seems to be the only way she knows how to make herself desirable.!<

>!That's why the story start with her throwing herself on him. For her, that's the only thing of worth. And her behavior is the same of an abandoned child who is now scared of being left behind again. She asks him to do whatever he wants to her, like saying "I don't care the cost, I just don't want to be abandoned again". In the end, his response is “You don't have to give me anything to make me stay.”!<

>!That's why the rival, Yukari, being a bombshell beauty makes sense. She is also using basically the same tactics, but it doesn't work in the end. She wonders "why? I'm gorgeous, I'm sweet to him, why he doesn't he choose me?". And he had every reason to, she gave him comfort and safety.!<

>!Instead, he goes for Satsuki as a way to finally heal that child from his past, not only reconnecting with his first love, but facing his own monsters head-on.!<

In the end, that's why I think the ecchi parts actually fit the story. Sure, the tension that is built from all the intimate moments can keep you glued, the fanservice might even be why you start watching. But it goes deep into the characters, even a few of the side ones get some love.

Totally worth a watch. The anime has the whole story, but since it's quite fast might be easy to lose these details about Satsuki, and it makes all the difference.
