Im tired of the HORRENDOUS Battery life

Ive had the S26 Ultra since launch, and the first few weeks I was getting 6 hours plus screen on time, and it would generally last the full day after unplugging it from a full charge in the morning.

However since I installed One Ui 9 Beta, the battery life got quite bad, with me having to charge it atleast once a day, usually after i had finished college - (it would be on 20-30%).

Now, ever since the official One UI 9 Launch it has only gotten worse, with it lasting under 4 hours SOT before being on low battery.

The only thing that is slightly making up for this is the fast charging, but a flagship phone thats £1.7k (for the 1TB version that I have) battery life should absolutely not be this bad.

I have always been buying from samsung, I have a galaxy watch, a galaxy book, a galaxy tab (heck, even a samsung microwave). But this crappy battery life on an ULTRA phone is absolutely unacceptable.

Sorry for the rant lol.

S25 Ultra vs S26 Ultra – Is the extra money worth it? Mainly for camera & software

Planning to buy a Samsung Ultra for my wife. Main priorities are camera and software experience.

S25 Ultra is available at a good discount, while S26 Ultra costs more.

For those who have used both:

  • Is the S26 Ultra camera improvement significant?
  • Is it worth paying extra for the S26 Ultra?
  • What’s the best way to get the best deal in India?

Would appreciate honest opinions, especially from S25/S26 Ultra owners.

Should I make the change...

I live in Dominican Republic and I got a S24 Ultra 1tb since it got out, but lately I´ve been thinking about switching to S26 Ultra but in my country the 1tb version of the phone its difficult to find. Also a lot expensive. Doubting into making the change because its difficult to justify the expense for myself, its just the tech fever i usually get. A guy is selling a 512gb version near my job. Phones are expensive. Being trying to convince myself not to, repeating myself I would be losing features like titatium frame, the bluetooth on the spen, if I dont find the 1tb version would be losing half my storage. I just like the idea its gonna be lighter and the new design. Any opinions...

S26 Ultra BBD sale

I need some clarity,

Currently s26 ultra 256 gb is listed for 125k indian rupees, does this price drop below this during bbd Flipkart sale ? And also any expected price drop in Amazon in the great Indian festival sale?

And also is samsung care plus worth the price ?

Or should I put the extra money and take the 512 gb variant.

I will use the phone on longer run, looking for more than 4 years.

Counterfeit Phone! S26 ULTRA

Hey everyone!

I went on OfferUp, but this can happen on any marketplace, like Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, eBay, or other sites, depending on how trustworthy the seller is.

Even in this case, the seller had five-star reviews. However, I didn’t actually purchase the phone. He trusted me enough to take it home, test it, and then come back the next day to either trade or give him the money for the phone, which I thought was pretty odd.

So, I didn’t experience a direct financial loss from this, but it still cost me about an hour of my day, gas to get there and back, and another 30 minutes inspecting the phone itself.

I mainly wanted to show you guys just how realistic these counterfeit phones can look at first glance. Please do your research, and whenever possible, try putting your SIM card into the phone and connecting to it before purchasing from a random private seller on Marketplace or any other marketplace.

What made this especially convincing was that the case it came in appeared to be from a real S26 Ultra. The phone also had what appeared to be accurate IMEI and serial numbers that matched a real S26 Ultra when verified online.

So please be careful! Even when a phone looks completely legitimate and the seller has good reviews, it’s still worth taking the extra time to verify everything before handing over your money.

Samsung's Ultra Identity Crisis: The S27 Ultra Rumors Prove Samsung Can't Stop Changing Its Face

Samsung keeps redesigning the Galaxy Ultra in small, restless steps, and after five years the phone still has no settled face.

Put an iPhone 12 Pro next to an iPhone 16 Pro and most people would struggle to tell which is which. Do the same with a Galaxy S22 Ultra and a Galaxy S26 Ultra and you see two different ideas of what an Ultra should be. Each year Samsung changes the corners, the frame, the camera housing or the S Pen. None of these changes is huge alone. Together, they leave buyers unsure what the Ultra actually stands for.

Five Ultras, five different ideas

The Ultra has changed something visible in every generation since it absorbed the Galaxy Note in 2022, and several of those changes were later undone.

The pattern is the problem. Titanium arrived in 2024 as a premium selling point and was gone two years later. The camera bump was removed in 2022 as a signature look, then brought back in 2026. The squared-off Note shape that defined the Ultra is now being rounded toward the regular Galaxy S phones. Reviewers have noted the S26 Ultra is drifting further from the Note-style design.

In Sydney, Samsung S26 ultra 256GB directly from Samsung online is $1671 apparently after a corporate discount of 20 percent plus an extra 5 percent whereas in JB Hifi it's $1699 and I can get it for $1599 as I've a $100 gift voucher. Big W is selling the same phone for $1422. What's my best option?
