Kickstand for Tributary

I can’t for the life of me find out if ANY kickstand will actually work with this bike. I know it could use a Click-Stand but … Yikes. Anyone??I just bought my Tributary two weeks ago and had no idea the kickstand conundrum would be a thing.

Exploring the Adirondacks by bicycle - July 2026

Just one bikepack for the month of July. Summer is drawing down. We really only have 2 warm months with light left. October is a last gasp and November can end real fast (last year winter came early).

I thought I'd take it easy and follow some of the TATR. Not that I think the TATR is a rail trail but most of the sections I've been on have been better than my normal life exploration rides. Mainly lacking the constant blow down due to sections getting cleared from time to time each year. This section was very likely the worst I've done and I wouldn't recommend it.

However only about 2-3 miles sucked. Just not sure the juice was worth the squeeze to form a loop.

Once again, total respect to the folks that line up and complete the TATR OG. Keeping in mind I had 52mi planned which is a little less than 10% of the TATR and I was glad when I got through the crappy section.

Some highlights were the lake at sunrise and the absolute silence overnight having the entire place to myself. Me, the dog and the loons. 30 miles with wet feet, including all but 10 minutes of day 2. Hundreds of feet riding/walking through chest high grass (no ticks though). Probably close to a mile of riding through ferns and grass where I couldn't see the ground at all. At least one unbridged swamp crossing. Deer flies for days, and mosquitoes made a solid appearance.

At times I thought "this is pretty nice" and the gravel was very nice. I saw virtually no one. Zero cars passed us off-pavement and the pavement sections were pretty quiet as well.

My Daily Commuter and Adventure Bike

2022 Journeyer with custom frame bag. I’ve owned this bike for 4 years now and love it. It’s my first gravel/road bike and I’ve taken it on many adventures around Northern Wisconsin.

Timberjack!

This thing is so much fun! It rips on local xc/gravel single track trails. Thinking about going back to geared/suspension but can’t bring myself to do it. Fork is from Curve cycles.

NBD Welcome to the family Rangefinder.

Needed a basic mountain bike so of course I was drawn to the affordable rangefinder. I don't live near any mountains so the most this guy is going to get is some chunky country road gravel. I bought a shotgun seat for the little one (2 years old) and it didn't fit on my journeyman so a bike with different frame geometry was needed for our adventures.

Never had a mountain bike with 29's on it before, it's like riding on pillows lol.

If there are any quality of life upgrades you guys traditionally make to your mountain bikes share them here. I'll take any tips I can get.

Salsa journeyer hydro brakes upgrade help

I bought a 2019 Journeyer, I’m upgrading ( trying ) to Shimano MT200 . The rear adapter which is what I thought would’ve work isn’t. Flat mount to post mount. The flat adapter also had a gap between the mount and caliper. Thoughts?

Has anyone upgraded to hydro brakes? It seems like everyone is running mechanical brakes on these bikes.
