Have been thinking it would be fun to work out some chops with other musicians and see what happens. Hoping to host a semi regular 1-2x month evening session at Hindsight rehearsal. I play drums, some inspirations include Art Blakey, Billy Cobham, Herbie, and more recently Yussef Dayes. I lean towards upbeat funky jazz but am open to whatever. Reply or DMs welcome

I am not sure where to post this. It may get taken down? I just wanted to put a warning out there about a certain (male) musician/guitarist in town. He positions himself as a sensitive type and tries to ingratiate himself with younger female artists. Hes married and his wife is a singer and they have a project together. I don't think she knows how he crawls into our (female songwriters) DMs and tries to turn every professional interaction into something creepy and sexual. I know its common and I should just move on but in talking to others we all had the same story about him. I don't want to say too much but also feel so weird and creeped out that I wanted to vent and maybe warn others. I guess you can DM me for more but I probably won't say too much more. I just wanted to share and maybe warn anyone who might be able to relate or can read between the lines.
