Hi I paid higher bucks to purchase this lovely moonshine, then I just learned that there is a chance the mother and baby will revert to the wild type . I panic >.< Please let me know ur experience/tips 🍀
This is my first snake plant and I love him dearly. I noticed this new growth at the bottom of the pot and I’m not sure if it’s just roots? There’s also a new little shoot growing (pic 3). Are those just new roots at the bottom?
Why is one leaf turning yellow and a bit soft? I've had this plant for 2 months. I watered it once or twice. I did not repot it. The damage below the pink coating was there when I bought it, could it be because of that? The little black dots on the bottom in the 2nd pic is just where the drainage holes are, not sure why its black but it seems fine? Could I just trim it if nothing helps? Pls help me save her.
If it is an actual thing, how tall do the leaves grow in comparison to normal Masoniana?
I'm a complete novice so sorry if the question is silly - I was repotting my snake plant for the first time and unknowingly used the wrong soil. It's currently in a generic soil mix, which I learned wasn't the right one to use. What should I do? Should I repot again or leave it for a while (or until the current soil dries out)? Please help a noob :(
For those of you who like to collect different varieties of Sansevieria, highly recommend the Sinus Simiorum R979. This boy is meaty. Very architectural. You won’t regret.
So a baby boncel had a tiny pup. I picked it up & oh rats I dropped the darn th...
OMG 2 more. 3 tiny babies.
Previously I asked for your advice on how to save my overwatered and nearly rootless snakeplant.
I had removed it from the pot, removed all soil and cut off rot. Then I left it on my floor for 30 hours before repotting in bonedry cactus soil and 1/3 perlite.
I had no expectations as to this 60-70cm tall plant surviving with just a few and in some cases no roots left.
And we are not out of the woods yet.
Until yesterday I hadn’t watered it. Then I poured in 1 liter and I’m thinking that’s it for the next three weeks.
There is plenty of drainage in the pot and only a little moisture has dribbled through, so I’m thinking the soil has taken in the water.
I have not removed the supports or strings as it still seems very dangly and I don’t think it would stay upright without.
Some of the plants seem to be okay happy - I’m seeing new growth. With others I have my doubts.
But what’s your opinion? How do I give this plant the best survival chances?

I don't know what type of sansevieria I have in this pot, it started quite short with a sort of rosette shape. As more leaves have grown from the center they have grown rather tall, so it is quite wobbly! Should I stake it and if so, any suggestions please?
Throwing several pups that I will make labels for when I eventually repot. Just wanted to make sure they are actually ‘silver frost’ which I ID’d myself as a guesstimation. Had for about a year and I’m very excited for the pups.
Hi everyone!
I have a Sansevieria cylindrica pup and I’m currently rooting it in water. It already started pushing new growth, but the roots are still very small / barely developed.
I’m trying to decide between keeping it in water a bit longer until stronger roots develop, or planting it now into a very chunky, well-draining soil mix.I also see on the base some baby growth and if I plant it, it’s going to be buried in soil sadly.
The plant looks healthy overall, no mushy base or rot so far. It gets bright indirect light near a window, and I change the water regularly. What should I do?
I cut off the pups and didn’t let the end callous over before I repotted it. Is my whale fin toast with the soft, moldy spot?
