Visiting Satara for 3 days. Looking for suggestions

I am traveling with my family to Satara in first week of September. Looking for suggestions for places to visit and eat.

I have heard of Kas Plateau but haven't found a way to book tickets. Will it be open and blooming? What else should I consider visiting? If 3 days is too much then is there anything nearby that you can suggest?

Thank you

Should we start a Satara Citizens community in North-Western Mumbai?

There’s a huge no of people from Satara district living in North-West Mumbai, including myself. We call them SSK(Satara-Sangli-kolhapur) or people might know us as Ghati community.Since the Kokan community has various mandals and community services across Mumbai, we were thinking of starting a small Satarkar community/group in the North-Western suburbs Andheri, Jogeshwari, Vile Parle, Oshiwara and Goregaon.
The idea is simple is to connect with fellow Satarkars, meet occasionally, share local information, help each other with things like travelling to our native places or any official work, and stay connected to Satara.
There are already a few Satara groups, but most seem to be concentrated around Dadar, Girgaon and Navi Mumbai.
Would people here be interested in something like this?

Standing next to these 130-meter giants at Chalkewadi Windmill Farm, Satara. One of the largest in Asia! [OC]

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be under a massive windmill or what it looks like from below, here’s your answer.

On my way to Thoseghar waterfall, I stumbled upon these enormous windmills in Chalkewadi, Satara. The side quest was far more enjoyable and intriguing.

Should I start my travel agency business in Satara?

I have been running my travel agency business in Mumbai for the last 4 years

I am thinking of starting a branch or small setup in Satara offering both domestic and international travel packages , Solo group trips, religious trips, senior citizen groups and all kinds of domestic and international trips.

Satara is my mom’s hometown so I have so many relatives there... but I am not sure about the actual business potential there

Do you think Satara has enough demand for a travel agency focused on domestic and international packages

Would love to hear from people who live in Satara or have experience running a travel business in smaller cities

Should I start a namkeen business targeting Kolhapur, Sangli & Satara?

I’m planning to start a small namkeen manufacturing business in Maharashtra, with my initial target market being Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara.

I’ve already done a few trial batches and I’m now trying to decide whether I should actually start the business or look for another opportunity.

There are already many local namkeen manufacturers and established brands in these markets, so I’m wondering how difficult it would be for a new small brand to enter and build a customer base.

I’m not looking for motivation or a “follow your passion” answer. I’d genuinely like to hear from people who have experience in food businesses, manufacturing, distribution or retail.

If you were in my position, would you start this business or choose something else? Why?

What would you look at before investing more money?

Coming from BLR to experience the Sahyadri monsoon, recommendations?

Namaste beautiful folks of Satara 🙏

I’m from Bangalore, visiting Satara first time this Sep with my wife just to experience the best of Sahyadri Monsoon like a local, not just cover tourist spots.

Planning to rent a bike for 3 days and ride around nearby scenic areas.

Any hidden waterfall, viewpoint, village, food spot or scenic road I absolutely shouldn’t miss?

Also, any recommendations for a reliable bike rental in Satara for 2- 3 days?

Would really appreciate local suggestions! 🙏
