It definitely looks better with a bigger blaze and pink nose

I loved getting these when I was younger but I didn’t even know what the brand name was until I noticed some at a store recently lol. anyway I’ll get more to keep the collection going if I ever notice them in the wild again.

Meet Buster, aka a 2007 Arabian stallion that I had as a child, which unfortunately ended up getting chewed by a dog. Such are the perils of taking your favourite models out places... Luckily, I acquired a duplicate of his model at some point, which made it much easier to stick him back together with some new clay ears and a bit of foot to go with it.

He was originally going to be an exact copy of a gorgeous bay Arabian stallion I found on Pinterest, but he really became his own unique character as time went by and I discovered where my limits were. What do you think of him?

I saw this girl (Oldenburg Mare) at a toy shop the other day and really loved her model, but the paint job left something to be desired. Tiny touch up of the markings and I’m very pleased with the change.

I found these when I was out and about with my bf last week, I’ve stopped buying new ones a few years ago, only pretty special editions (got the anniversary elephant) and exclusives of the molds/races I like (Hanoverian, Andalusian & Lusitano).

Now usually the paint jobs are bad, the bolt face paint for instance on the Arabian is just criminal. But THIS? They just didn’t paint dapples and on the right one they skipped the eye??

For the first time in a long while I saw schleich on the shelves of my local store and I’m so sad with the drop in both paint and material quality. The plastic feels cheap and had visible seams in some places, the paint was either out of the lines or just entirely poorly shaded, and the newer foals couldn’t properly stand because of flimsy legs. I may switch to Colllect A for my models
