Odyssey booking cancelled but I haven't been informed?

I've still got a booking for screen 14 in the Trafford Centre, specifically chosen because it's a Laser screen and a 1.85:1 ratio, so with The Odyssey being supplied to cinemas in multiple formats, you'd get more picture than a 2.39:1 screen.

I'll be seeing it later at Vue Printworks for the full 1.43:1 experience - so wasn't fussed about IMAX/Dolby at this point, but since there's been no cancellation email, does that mean that screen 14 IS still allocated and will show up again? Then again, the 'swap seat' option has gone, so it's effectively been taken out of there. It was also scheduled at a different time than any that remain, so it's not been moved to another screen.

Meanwhile, the other available screens are screens 7 and 9 (both 2.39:1, no.7 is Laser) and screen 12, which is 1.85:1, but the projector is still overscanning the screen, it's been like that for years and they clearly have zero intention of fixing it, until maybe it's replaced with a Laser one day.

June - what did you see?

What did you see at the cinema in June? And, if you fancy it - what score would you give it out of 10?

I saw:

Toy Story 5 (7)

Just been to an odeon members screening

I’ve just been to my first Odeon members-only screening and really enjoyed it. I was just wondering how often Odeon tends to do these at your local one as I’d definitely like to go to more if they’re fairly regular.
Also, what was the last members-only screening you went to, what film was it and have you found them to be worth going to?

CEA card

I’ve had limitless plus for around a year now and seen about 45 movies so far I’m unable to be alone so always require a carer and use the CEA card box to book tickets but it seems as though on the odeon app they’ve removed the CEA option? Anyone know what’s going on have they stopped CEA?

Ghost In The Shell, but not the original film I was expecting.

Anyone else go to see this? It originally showed up as a runtime of 85 minutes, so I figured it was the 1995 anime which I still haven't seen, so would've been a great way to watch it for the first time, but it turned out to be two episodes and some random extras from a new anime that releases next month with a total running time of 76 minutes.

Hence, before I realised, it did seem a bit odd when it showed as two separate episodes at first, played some end credits, and with those being about 40-45 mins-ish total, I figured it was halfway through, but then we got some 'DVD extras' that had been mastered with audio levels like a Bollywood film.

I saw one couple walk out while the extra split our eardrums, so maybe they felt the same.

Best screen in Odeon UK to watch the new Spider-Man?

There’s so many screens, LASER, DOLBY and ISENSE.

Which one is the best one to watch the upcoming Spider-Man release? I’m so excited for it so want the best one.

Reading online I can’t really seem to get a specific answer through google.

Thanks all.

Account suspended

lost my bank card a few days ago and it annoyingly coincided with my limitless payment going out, which obviously failed. It bounced 3 times and I can’t update the new card information until it arrives so I’ve now had an email stating my account is suspended.
It says I can’t make any further bookings until I update my payment info but it doesn’t say anything about attending bookings if already made. I’m supposed to be going tomorrow and the ticket is still showing on purchases - do we think all will be good or something will flag up when scanned?

Screen 3 Trafford Centre gets an air-con upgrade! (& IMAX/Dolby now closed)

Unfortunately, the other day I ended up seeing two films in screen 3 because they alternated two films in there all day, but it was telling that these films were originally scheduled for screen 4 (which has a better projector, I find), and they swapped the schedule over with the screen 3 films.

I should've smelled a rat, as I remember when this happened to when 2024's Longlegs was shown in screen 5, and was swapped over with one of those screens with the two rows of Premiere seats in the middle. Turned out screen 5's air-con had broken, so in that case, Longlegs was expected to be the bigger draw, and the other film's viewers could just sweat into a puddle.

I did look up what was showing in screen 4, and at 7.30pm, they had Main Vaapas Aaunga, on seemingly it's only screening that I could see. I did a screengrab of the seat map (2nd pic), as I get nerdy about that, and yep, a bit busy. And since the screens had just been swapped over without telling anyone, about 6 couples came into Night & Day when it was halfway done. For anyone who was starting to sit within earshot, I said, "Excuse me, you want next door", so they didn't spend however long wondering what was onscreen.

The door was open to screen 4 after I came out, and I popped my head round briefly, and yep, absolutely jammed.

Now, check what you're planning to watch while it's hot, since I see for TC, any IMAX showings for today (mostly Supergirl) have been cancelled, as has anything in Dolby and screen 3.

And at the time, I did ask a member of staff about screen 3's air con, but just got an "umm.. ah" response, and so I knew the answer anyway. The air con was bust and that wasn't changing any time soon.

Limitless £150 Prime Day deal

We’ve sat in this for a while and now it’s dropped to £150.

We go as a couple every week but wanted to check in with the veterans and get your thoughts please.

It’s not that much better than the Black Friday deal is it?

Maidstone Odeon closed?

Odeon at Maidstone seems to have very limited screenings over the weekend and none at all Monday to Thursday next week.

Does anyone know why? Hopefully it’s to fix the aircon that was clearly not working last weekend!

Thanks

Anyone still watching multiple films in this heat?

I had planned to see 3 films in one day at some point this week, but even on the rare occasion when I have had a full night's sleep at the moment, I'm still exhausted when I wake up.

And even on a slightly warm day, the air-con only seems to work in some rooms, so you're left at the mercy of flapping something in front of your face.

I've also never seen a UK shopping centre, like Trafford Centre where I go, have water stations. I know you can ask someone to refill a water bottle from their own taps, but... I'm OCD like that lol.

No showings for The Furious at all in the UK but they can squeeze in some for a film funded by the Saudi government

Even though The Furious has been getting rave reviews ahead of it's supposed UK release date of June 26th. I had really really hoped that would try and have at least a few screenings of it over the weekend. But no. Must make sure we make room for this though...

Moved to an area with an Odeon Luxe. Already been to cinema 3 times this month. Mylimitless+ is paying for itself rn.

I've never been to the cinema so much and already have 3 others planned out too.

Keir Starmer shows off his new job at Odeon, Milton Keynes.

Not sure why. Reminds me when Trump was at McDonalds. I don't think either lasted more than a day.

Spiderman brand new day

I went to book spiderman brand new day and was going to get it in 3D with a recliner which I normally do with my my limitless plus But spiderman in all the 3D screenings the recliner is not included like normal and I thought I might be crazy but ik that I got a mandalorian ticket in 3D with a recliner so it should be an option no? Is there something different with this 3D screenings? I don't watch 3D often so sorry if I look stupid. Also I checked on the website on my laptop it went down by £1.50
