EBay new item prices are expensive

Quite often if I want to buy something specific and branded and new I look on both eBay and Amazon. I would say the majority of the time, the prices on eBay are higher and sometimes far higher than the price for the same new item on Amazon. I’ve looked at Phillishave shavers, Braun toothbrushes and heads, named manufacturers.

Amazon has the advantage of free next day delivery with prime, and also very easy free and quick returns if necessary. With payment returned the same day usually. Amazon also has the unconditional warranty, at least for 30 days from purchase.

It also applies to items from main dealers. I was looking at the price of a Swatch Mission to the Moon watch this week. For a new one, £250-320 on eBay. Three year old ones were £220-240. With probably no real warranty and £3.50 postage and delivery in up to a week’s time.

Direct from Swatch with free delivery and full warranty, and an unopened box, it is £240.

Hi everyone

I am cross posting this in both the Audi and Lidl groups. I shop in both stores and I’m always impressed at the quality of food, the prices and the middle aisle offers.

However, I find the location of pricing labels really confusing. Aldi as normal puts the price of an item on the edge of the shelf below it, which is pretty standard for UK supermarkets.

However and confusingly, Lidl puts the price of an item on the shelf edge ABOVE the item.

I wondered what the logic for this is? It is non-standard and really confusing when you go to look at the price on the shelf edge below only to realise it is for the item below it, not the item on the shelf next to it.
