The Scuff Omega controller does not have direct PlayStation acknowledgement when it connects to PC?
I just bought the Omega Controller and to my pleasant surprise (and still being a direct sponsor with PlayStation...) when I have connected it to my PC to play the system recognised it as an Xbox controller.
I have been looking at opinions and talking to the AI to see if the PC could recognise it natively as a PlayStation controller without installing DS4 and it has become impossible for me. Any help?
Annoying Button?
Just got the Scuf Omega and was Just wondering if anyone know how to remap or unbind the touchpad button on pc? They are acting like R2 and shooting guns for me. Its just acting like a mouse button and i dont like it
TMR modules
Does anyone know what verision will be in the Omega, gen 1 or gen 2?
Does the Omega have a build in microphone?
Looking for a new controller for my pc, have a edge but I rarely use it. Because sometimes when I plug it in it takes over mic / audio from my main headset, screws with discord as well.
I just got a stream controller but I'm sending that back, so I'm back in the market.
Envision pro 2 or omega
In the market for a new pro controller to play cod on pc what should I get the omega or envision pro 2? Also what are the main differences between the two?
How does the new SCUF Omega feel compared to the FPS or normal PS5 controller?
After seeing the SCUF Omega, it looks like it might feel different in hand, maybe a little bigger. I’m mainly asking because I have smaller hands and the normal PS5 controller fits me perfectly. Since the Omega looks larger, I’m wondering if it feels different compared to a regular PS5 controller. If anyone has an Omega, let me know what you think and how it compares to the normal PS5 controllers.
Omega
Okay, let me start off with; I played console up til about a week ago now I’m on PC. I had a scuf instinct pro loved it stick drift showed up fairly quick.(about 6months) give or take. I got the valor pro wired. Let’s just say it was.. something that’s for sure not good, but something. As everyone knows that built in deadzone was cooking the valor pro, I just couldn’t get used to it. Went back to an Xbox elite controller which is amazing, but then again stick drift. Now that I’m on PC, I seen that SCUF made the Omega controller which basically looks like the envision2.0. Now to the meat and potatoes; has anyone actually given the omega a shot yet? If so;
- Is it the same tmr sticks that was in the Valor pro?
- I know TMR s
ticks are different, but does the built in deadzones cause FPS games to become unplayable like with the valor pro?
3.
- What is everyone’s reason for liking, not liking the controller
?
P.S i played console competitively.
P.S.P.S feel free to drop your go to pc controller & if you don’t mind sharing the pros or cons.
FIXED: Scuf Valor Pro stuck on firmware v0.5.20 / Companion App not working
Yo, if your Scuf Valor Pro is stuck on v0.5.20 and won't update to v0.5.63 or if the companion app is just completely ignoring your controller here is the fix. I couldn’t find this anywhere online and spent ages figuring it out, but it actually works. The issue is that the standard updater tool Scuf gives you is outdated and dead-ended. You have to grab the one they hid on the iCUE page. Here’s exactly what to do:
- Trash the old tool: Unplug your controller and completely uninstall the old Scuf Updater from your Windows apps.
- Get the right installer: Go to the Scuf website and head over to the iCUE Download section. Download the firmware updater from there. It has the actual v0.5.63 files baked into it.
- Force Bootloader mode: Open the new tool (don't plug the controller in yet). Hold down your Left Stick (L3) and then plug the USB cable into your PC.
- Update: The tool should instantly see the controller now. Just hit update and let it flash to v0.5.63.
- One last tip: Make sure to turn off Auto-Shutoff in the Companion App settings after the update. Some people reported that if the controller goes to sleep during a session, the 1K polling rate can glitch out until you unplug and replug it. Turning off auto shutoff completely fixes that!
Crucial step if the controller feels "dead" after updating: The new firmware wipes the stick calibration, so Windows or the Companion App might still act glitchy until you reset it. • To reset it: Hold the profile button on the back until the LED flashes, then press and hold L3 + R3 together for 3 seconds until it pulses white. After that, open the Companion App, calibrate your sticks, and you’re good to go with the 1K polling rate working perfectly. Hopefully, this saves someone from a massive headache!
Scuf Omega v Razer Raiju V3 Pro
Trying to decide between Scuf Omega (coming soon I guess) and Raiju V3 Pro, but my use case is a bit different.
I play a lot of Warframe and GTA Online, and I actually use macros for combos. For example in Warframe, abilities are R1 + face buttons, and things like operator swap are R1 + L1. Ideally I map those to single inputs to make gameplay smoother.
That’s why Scuf looks really appealing with all the extra buttons + macro support. In theory I could just bind combos like R1+face buttoms to four different keys and simplify everything.
But I’ve also heard iCUE can be buggy, and I don’t want to rely on macros if they’re inconsistent mid-game. On the other hand, the Raiju seems way more stable, just less flexible.
So I’m basically choosing between:
Scuf = more efficient but potentially janky
Razer = reliable but limited
Anyone here actually using Scuf for macro-heavy games? Does it work well or become a headache?
SCUF Omega Ban In COD?
Just had a quick question, does anyone know if the new PS5 SCUF Omega controller is banned in COD Challengers or the CDL? I know SCUF is partnered with the league, but since the controller has extra buttons and features I’m not sure if it’s allowed or not. If anyone knows for sure lmk please, thanks.
I really want to get the SCUF Omega but I've heard horror stories of the build quality, is this one good for once or am I better off using the Steam Controller 2 instead?
I don't really mind haptics not being there since I rarely use it but I want to hear input first
edit: i'm just gonna stick to getting a playstation controller modded with tmr sticks, back paddles, and trigger stops. too many horror stories to count
Question about Scuf Omega and connectivity
I purchased a scuf omega to play PS Remote play with it on a Mac.
I have seen reviews where when set to PC, the controller defaults to Xbox mapping, and remove touchpad click function.
Will the scuf Omega controller be able to use the touchpad click function like “opening the map”?
Because reviews says it defaults the touch pad click function to the share button….
Experience with previous scuf controllers that works on both pc/ps5/mac are also appreciated
Omega Quality Control
I'm curious if you guys think the new Omega being officially licensed will help with quality. I'm in the market for a pro Controller. Scuf Omega looks cool and has neat features, but the reputation for bad quality and bad customer service scares me. Do you guys think that sony having their name on the box will mean they force a better standard of production out of scuf? Or same issues new branding?
Companion App, updating scuf valor pro
Hey all! Just got a valor pro after having issues with my elite controller. Using it on PC. I plug it in and the app see’s it, but cant update it (or even get to settings), it’s taking me to a website to update the firmware, but there’s nothing even listed to update lol. Any of ya’ll can help? Thanks!
Seeking advice on what to remap
The Scuf Omega has really grabbed my attention and, for the first time, I'm considering a pro controller. That said, back/side buttons are such an unfamiliar experience that I'm not actually sure how I'd choose what to remap.
I imagine every game is a case-by-case basis, but I was curious how you choose. For reference, I don't play any fps (mostly GoT/GoY Legends, Remnant 2, and single player stuff) so I realize I'm not getting the maximum potential out of this. I'm mostly interested in the instant triggers and, I guess, the idea of remapping buttons for ease of use.
Replace my Reflex FPS for Omega?
My Reflex FPS has major stick drift (non TMR version) and the triggers have been failing lately. Should I pull the trigger on an Omega?
SCUF VALOR PRO wireless/VALOR wired
I play mostly on Xbox, sometimes on PC, and after years of using Xbox controllers, including Elite 1 for a short time, I'd like to change, mainly because of drift. I have read the specs but would be interested in your experiences guys. The website for the wired version says NEW, but I haven't found what's new about it. Is it worth the money or not? The other option might be the GameSir G7 Pro, or can you guys recommend alternatives? I prefer the design and shape of the Xbox controllers, it's more comfortable.
