Something went wrong with my scuff Omega

It’s been 14 days since unboxed the controller. I have played long sessions with the controller.

Counter issues with triggers
If you have it on 8 bit it seems that it flickers miss input on Fortnite but I changed it to set 12 bit and that seems to be normal for now.

Buttons
They’re holding up very well. but… having me worried about it because it’s my first time using something like this for buttons

Joysticks
No issues with them yet, but the pulling rate is a bit weak. But I did saw a post how to set up. But it doesn’t seem to feel like responsive on menus.

Problem with my new Valor Wired

Hi I just got a Valor Wired for PC and Xbox, and as soon as I plugged it into the PC it worked, then after setting my keys in the app and saving, it shut down and now it won't turn back on

Easy solution for Kontrol freak use on scuf omega!:):)

Guys, I know about the omegas issue with using kontrol freeks. But there is a super simple fix. I don't know how anyone hasn't thought of this. The most simplest most practical fix! To me it's pretty obvious. So to anyone those who has a scuff omega and can't use control freaks, just do this.

Just buy a new set of different joystick bases from Amazon or whenever! Since all scuf controllers allow you to swap out the actual joystick base, literally just buy a new joystick base, but just make sure it that has a a little higher length. The scuf omega joysticks are superrrrr short.

For example maybe extreme rate interchangeable joysticks, or the hex gaming joysticks, there are hundreds of non brand name joysticks pieces that you can purchase on Amazon and they all work universally. Or the ZD interchangeable joysticks. Or Ralan interchangeable joystick. And just to be clear I'm not saying for you guys to use the longer joysticks from the products mentioned above. Or else is just literally defeat the puropose. Just use the shortest joystick length that comes with the base on. They're all natively a little taller than The default scuf sticks. I only interchangeable sticks only because most joystick replacements just have interchangable heights by design. Just don't buy the PS5 OEM joysticks because they are the same height as the scuff ones so it's not gunna work. Basically All replacement sticks are by default a little taller than the stuff ones. The default scuf joysticks are just really really short. Just like the PS5 sticks. You can buy an Xbox joystick(I haven't used them on the omega myself, so I don't know if they can fit) but Just look it up online or on Amazon there's hundreds of options. The point is here is just to swap out to another joystick brand again, don't get the PS5 ones. Because they are the same height ask the default scufs. So there's no point I need to defeat the purpose. I'm either way, it doesn't matter since you're putting a control freak on it anyways.

And voila! That's it! Now you're able to use your control freaks effectively. Because obviously all of you guys know the issue is that the joystick is too short so that it rubs aronnd ring when you have the kontrol freek on. When I got my stuff Omega, and the control freaks wouldn't work, that was my first solution to just buy a brand new set of base joysticks and that's it! most joysticks by default are a little higher than the scuf ones, so you guys should be good. Scuf default joysticks are very short and are about the same I as the PS5 base joysticks. So just get any other joysticks base that isn't PS5. There are so many hundreds and hundreds of them from different brands to interchangeable one's too.

You can thank me later 😮‍💨 simple fix! Hope I fixed all your issues

Xbox Valor Pro Wireless any good?

Just wanted to know if its worth the upgrade? How does it feel? Is it reliable?

I currently have the Instinct Pro and my god its one of the best controllers I own. I've had it already for like 3-5 years and its finally starting to show signs of wear. Its starting to get stick drift. Unfortunately that controller has been discontinued.

Is the Valor Pro wireless actually better ? For the people who own it, how so? And what are your thoughts?

Is something wrong with my Omega?

Hello,

I think I’ve got an issue with my Omega controller. It’s like sticks sensitivity is of the charts. It’s annoying when I’m playing Tomb Raider games, camera acts way too fast and sometimes it’s difficult to fight.

It’s not like that when I’m playing Gran Turismo 7 or EA FC26.

Kontrolfeek on omega

Hi, is anybody using kontrolfreeks on omega? I just saw that the "teeth" of the kontrolfreeks can touch the shell of the controller. So if you use them did they scratch your controller?

Scuf controller reliability

I know maybe like 2 years ago Scuf controllers probably weren’t the most reliable but has reliability gotten better with Scuf?

I plan on buying a Scuf reflex

Has anyone who bought the Scuf Omega experienced these problems?

The weirdest thing is that it happens with L2 and R2; I've already tried various settings and concluded that the controller is defective.

Help with omega stick dead zones

I understand what dead zones are and how they effect gaming. But on the omega the dead zones go from 0-14 and it has me a bit confused.

I mainly play BO7 on PS5 and in the scuf app I have my min dead zone set to 2 for both sticks........but what should I do for max? 14? Is 14 akin to 100 outer dead zone in BO7? I want to maximize performance of the sticks please help

PSA: If you're struggling with your SCUF Omega's sensitivity, give this a try

I've seen quite a few people saying the new SCUF Omega doesn't feel quite right when aiming compared to a stock DualSense or DualSense Edge. I had the exact same experience.

Even though I came from a SCUF Reflex with custom GuliKit TMR modules, I still noticed the Omega felt more sensitive around the center, making micro-adjustments harder than they should be.

After talking to a few friends who know a lot about controller calibration, stick mods, and potentiometers, I spent some time trying to make the Omega behave as closely as possible to Sony's factory ALPS sticks. The result has honestly been night and day for me, so I figured I'd share it here in case it helps someone else.

Why this works

The SCUF Omega uses TMR sensors, while Sony's DualSense uses traditional ALPS potentiometers. ALPS potentiometers aren't perfectly linear because of their electrical resistance, which naturally softens the response around center. TMR sensors, on the other hand, are much more linear and responsive, which can make them feel overly sensitive for people who have years of muscle memory on a DualSense.

The goal is to create a small hardware translation curve that makes the Omega output behave much closer to a stock DualSense.

Set these values in the SCUF app (aim stick):

  • Dot 1 (5%) → 3.5%
  • Dot 2 (20%) → 16.0%
  • Dot 3 (28%) → 23.5%
  • Dot 4 (35%) → 30.5%
  • Dot 5 (45%) → 41.0%
  • Dot 6 (55%) → 51.5%
  • Dot 7 (66%) → 63.5%
  • Dot 8 (78%) → 77.0%
  • Dot 9 (89%) → 89.0%

The first seven points sit slightly below their physical input (for example, a physical 45% stick movement outputs 41%). The last two points are almost 1:1. That slight reduction over roughly the first 70% of the stick travel recreates the subtle resistance that Sony's ALPS sticks naturally have.

The center feels much more stable for fine aim adjustments, while maximum turn speed and full-stick movement remain unchanged. Because the curve is smooth and continuous, your in-game response curve (Dynamic in CoD, Linear in Apex, Exponential in Fortnite, etc.) still behaves exactly as intended.

Don't chase a 0 deadzone!!!

I also recommend:

Inner Deadzone: 1–2%

A stock DualSense already has around 1.5–2.5% of mechanical slack from the factory. Setting the Omega to a fixed 2% filters out the tiny amount of TMR sensor noise while recreating the natural resting position of the original stick.

Outer Threshold: 98–99%

This prevents the TMR stick from reaching 100% output too early, meaning maximum input only occurs when the stick physically reaches the edge of its travel—just like on a stock PlayStation controller.

One last thing

If you use hardware deadzones, make sure your in-game deadzones are set to 0 or 1 (for example in Call of Duty); otherwise, you're stacking deadzones on top of each other. You can also set the aiming stick (usually the right stick) to Circular if you prefer, although that's mostly personal preference.

After making these changes, my Omega feels much closer to a factory DualSense while keeping all the benefits of TMR sensors.

Hopefully this helps someone else who felt like something was "off" with the default settings.

Scuf Omega Deadzones Trouble

Newbie here on controllers. I just got my Scuf Omega today which I will use to play Call Of Duty Warzone. Every video I’ve watched people recommend putting the left/right thumbstick deadzones to 0 in the Scuf app. However, this causes me to have stick drift on call of duty. Below are pictures of how the sticks respond. I’m not sure if I’ve done something wrong but the main reason I bought the omega was because the TMR sticks. My normal DualSense controller that has stick drift is 0:0 with these same settings through Call Of Duty btw.

Sent me the wrong controller

So a quick backstory, I bought this a couple months back in March as a birthday present to myself. Unfortunately I also had a big move at the time and I wasn’t able to pick it up before going back to college. I just got back home and decided that I would check my controller and it’s nothing like what I ordered at all. I checked the website and they only allow returns within 30 days after purchase. Idk how they got this so wrong. I am so disappointed I didn’t spend almost $400 for something this hideous..

Scuf Omega

Scuf omega came out of the box and keeps getting stuck going backwards even with no stick input. I can see it when testing dead zones it will randomly go to 100% held down and resets when it feels like it. Anyone else experience this?
