This sd card haa been the worst experience ever on the steam deck

Just warning people to not buy this specific model. It just ejects itself, wont read or write my data, and have slow speeds. Its just been an annoying experience for me to the point its failing and I just erased all my data without giving a fuck about it. Has anyone else had experience with this specific card? (SIlicon Power Elite A1 128GB) sorry for the blurred image.

Please help

512 SD card help/advice

I got a 512 SD card, I can put my photos on fine, but when I try to move anime/cartoon files they copy over but stay on my internal storage which is taking up space and I deleted them they deleted off the SD card as well when I did (I have them backed up on the app) but I would like to completely transfer them to download more episodes of others shows), never really used a SD card before, any tips?, any good 2tb or high SD cards I can put phone with dual sim slots (the phone I plan on getting says that they can be used because other people reviews have done 2 tb twice and they worked in the phone).

Understanding SD card symbols

Hey, I'm planning to buy a new Nikon full frame camera, the Z5 I to be precise, so I need UHS-II cards. I've been checking out what is the best offer right now, and - so far - this Kingston looks quite promising to me. Sadly, the last time I bought SD cards was around 2017-ish, and since then quite a few things have changed, so I had to check what all these symbols mean. As far as I know SDHC cards can be only 32 GB max, if it's 64GB (or more) - like this one - that should be an SDXC card technically. So what's going on here? Is this a fake Kingston card? Is it a misprint? Can someone help me? Thank you, guys.

Can anyone tell me whether SanDisk uses slightly different colors for the same card models?

I have the following problem: I bought a used 400 GB card. It does not work, so I thought it might be fake.
I compared it with my existing 200 GB cards, but now I am confused because I also noticed a significant color difference between the two 200 GB cards.

Both of them have always worked fine so far, and even testing them with H2testw does not show any issues.

So is it possible that all of the cards are legitimate even though there are color differences? Or could one of the 200 GB cards still be fake but somehow works normally anyway?

Edit:
Thank you for the numerous replies. I assume that the card is not fake, but actually just defective. I hope others can find this thread in the future. It’s really unfortunate that SanDisk doesn’t make it easier to identify counterfeits through clearer color differences and more consistent print quality. Additionally, I noticed that the one card was manufactured in Malaysia, while the other cards were manufactured in China.

H2testw also didn’t detect any errors on the card itself, only the write speed is absurdly low.

Damaged Sd card

i have an sd card that i dropped into a fountain, wiped and put into a camera where i formatted it twice (dumb ik, i was drunk) and i really want those files back, there are a bunch of videos that i need. i put it through photo rec and a lot of them recovered as 7kb and wouldn’t open. what are my chances looking like? I can’t pay $200 to get them professionally extracted so im trying to find other options or does it look like they can’t be recovered?

Edit: The camera used was a Sony ZV1!

Dark tealish streaks at the back—is it normal? Impending doom? I don't know?

This is a Sandisk Express 256GB, which I bought not too long ago for my Switch Lite. It's my first time owning one ever, so I try to be super careful with it. This is basically the second time I remove it, and I try to be super gentle too when I do it, but this time I've noticed these streaks on the surface of the back. The front looks completely normal instead. Since I'm having no issues whatsoever (besides reaching the 1K vid/10K photos limit, that's on me.), can I take it as something that usually happens, and I shouldn't worry much—or would it be best if I were looking for a new one already? Thank you to whoever will kindly respond.

Micro SD Cards keep Corrupting

Every single one I get seems to last 2 years at most before stopping. They get recognized by the computer and will be stuck loading forever, and my phone won't acknowledge theirs a card in it. My switchs corrupted, 256 Gb's and I have no idea what to do, I'm about to break every piece of tech I own in this house, the apps that "restore your data" don't do anything and I don't wanna redownload EVERYTHING in the sd card again (I had to get a ride to a place with Internet for months to get everything before, I got hit by a fucking car trying to download updates) what do I do? All the guides just say the same apps again and again, which NEVER WORK! Something that uncorrupts sd cards, a guide or someone that won't just try to restore it??

Type A Card reader

ive just purchased a type A CFexpress memory card, which works fine in camera (Fx30) But the card reader i ordered - “UGREEN CFexpress Type A card reader” is not readable by either of my Macbooks, 2019 and M4 Pro.

i’ve noticed on amazon there are cheaper options like the one i bought - £20ish

or the next level up is around £80-100. do i need to fork out for an expensive card reader? why is the UGreen one not working even though it has hundreds of positive reviews? any help greatly appreciated Thanks
