Looking to hire a fabricator with a 3D printer.

Hello fellow Shelton residents,

I am trying to find an object that I sorely need for my work and I am coming up short. I'm a union electrician working on a large job site where I am required to wear safety glasses. Unfortunately, my eye glasses are Ray Bans (model 5279). The frame on my glasses is too large for the normal attachable side shields. I need somebody to create a side shield that fits the temples of my glasses frame. There are ones on Amazon that work for the standard classic ray ban design, the wayfarers, but my frame's temples are smaller and I can't find any side shields that I can use.

The over the glasses safety glasses suck and I hate them. I can't go without my glasses. My prescription is unique and I can't just order them in a safety glass frame.

I need side shields that will fit. I need someone willing to design and print them. I will pay for the service and can point in the right direction for the designing. I don't think it'll be too hard, I just don't have a 3D printer.

Does anyone want to do this work for me, or have a recommendation of a place that will? I will pay. I just can't find what I need online.

Request for Solidarity: Shelton City Council Meeting 6PM

A quick update regarding the City Councilmembers voting to deny issuing a LGBTQIA+ Proclamation: I know this is last minute, but we are meeting tonight at 6PM at the Civic Center to issue public comments and voice our opinions about the denial. Councilmember Gutierrez is also going to request a re-vote, due to one of the Councilmembers (Stearns) being absent.

We want to pack the house, every seat filled, in a show of solidarity for our LGBTQIA+ Sheltonians. You can sign up for in-person comments at the door. It's first-come.
But even if you aren't interested in speaking, I encourage you to still attend. You don't have to stay for the entire meeting but any bodies in the room showing support is a boon for Shelton.

Shelton Pride will take place on Friday, June 26th, at Kneeland Park, 5pm-8pm. We are doing it on a Friday so we don't overlap with Oly Pride that weekend. It is going to be a fun casual event with yard games, a bubble station, etc. It will be 100% family friendly. This is the very beginning of something big. There will be multiple other Pride events happening all over Shelton for the month of June, and as soon as a flyer is made I will share it.

Showing up to these events will show the City that Shelton is full of Pride, and everyone is welcome here.

Thanks y'all - see you tonight!

Is That the Plan, Make Voting Harder?

Washington’s signature-verified mail-in voting system already works. Yet, from local pilot projects to state initiatives like IL26-126 and federal executive orders, a coordinated push is underway to add ID and citizenship layers. While these proposals pitch "security," their actual result is predictable: more bureaucracy, more friction, and fewer people voting.

Get involved, make a difference. https://www.electjimpierson.com/post/is-that-the-plan-make-voting-harder

Recommendations for real estate agent

We have a home in the Agate area of Shelton that we are going to be putting on the market within the next month.

Any recommendations on real estate agents with local knowledge and who can attest to all the positives for the Shelton area for potential buyers? I realize market conditions are not great, so we aren’t expecting a quick sale, nor are we going to be asking beyond what the market currently dictates. But I keep hearing of empty open houses and places sitting with little interest. And we’d just like to avoid that.

Appreciate any referrals to agents where people have had first hand great experiences.
