What did you guys think of coulson name dropping the show?
Did you think it was cool? Or did you think it was cringey? This happened in the episode providence I believe. It's before they find the base and are standing around in the tundra.

I'm thinking specifically of Deathlok and Centipede, but this goes for later seasons too. Why weren't other superheroes called to assist with Deathlok, someone obviously far too strong for a normal human to defeat?
Does the writers got some personal beef with Fitz?? why does fitz have to be friendzoned this hard.
Willingly sacrificed for jemma and didnt stop to get her back from the monolith and all he got was the kiss from saving her from that helmet virus from s1
WHAT R YALLS OPINIONS ON HER BEST SEASONNN!! personally i think season 1 and season 4 but WHAT BOUT YALL AND WHYYY
I tried to assign a D&D class to every character on this show, if anyone disagrees with any of them I’d love to hear other opinions! I’m also not using any homebrew classes just as a rule to make it easier for myself, but if anyone has cool homebrew stuff to bring up that would be awesome. There are mild spoilers for season 7 in May’s section and Deke is a character not introduced until season 5.
Coulson: Rogue
This choice is from rogues being masters of stealth and subterfuge as Phil is the most (or one of the most) experienced spies on the team. I know the typical archetype of a rogue is usually a thief though, so Coulson’s use of the class would be interesting since he’s only using these nefarious abilities against morally bad people. I could also see arguments of him becoming a paladin or fighter in the later seasons once he has the cybernetic arm and they aren’t doing as much spy work anymore, but I still think rogue fits the best overall.
May: Monk
I think this one is a very obvious choice as she’s this zen meditative warrior the entire show and a really good martial arts fighter. She becomes an empath kind of like Mantis (guardians of the galaxy) in season 7 if I remember correctly, and I think a monk still makes the most sense with that power if there’s some creative subclass or move that’s similar to her power.
Daisy: Sorcerer
Sorcerers “draw on inherent magic from a gift or bloodline” which is where most of this pick comes from. Obviously her powers don’t come from magic in the MCU, but most of these classes are focused on magic since that’s a big thing in D&D so I’m trying to be flexible with what we consider magic (just considering most supernatural abilities). I think there’s an argument that she’s also a rogue in the show until going through terrigenesis in season 2.
Fitz/Simmons: Artificers
Just because of their scientific background and the fact they tend to work more behind the scenes rather than being involved in full-scale fights, I think this is the only class that makes sense. They use their intelligence and abilities to investigate mysteries and create new magical objects.
Mack: Paladin/Barbarian(?)
Mack could also be considered an artificer especially in the first few seasons since he’s an engineer, but I think that’s boring to have more of the same class and these other two also work well. Mack’s Christian faith is a large part of his character and he’s quite a good fighter which is why the holy warrior with a sacred oath could work as he gets a bigger and bigger role over the course of the show. Barbarian might also be an interesting choice because of his rage that we see in a few different points of the show. He’s obviously quite strong, and there’s a big plot point in season 2 where Mack is possessed by some defense mechanism from the ancient city where Skye gets her powers and goes into a rage. He also kind of goes into a rage in season 5 after the variant of Yoyo is killed, similar to a barbarian’s rage.
Yo-Yo: Rogue
Just because of the sneaky/mischievous nature most of the time Yo-Yo uses her powers, I think a rogue makes more sense than another sorcerer like Daisy. It’s more like she’s using her speed for quick stealth and pickpocketing than casting big magical moves like Daisy does with her quake powers.
Deke: Gunslinger
Deke is not nearly as much in the show as the rest of the characters on this list, but he’s still a big enough part of the team starting in season 5 that I wanted to include him, and this class also just really stood out as another 100% match. The only reason Deke doesn’t get himself killed 100 different times in the show is because of his risk-taking and his wits, which are really big parts of the gunslinger class. You might be able to argue that he’s a monster hunter when he’s growing up in the apocalyptic future, but he’s definitely a gunslinger the second he gets to the present.
That’s about all the main characters of the show that I felt had to be included. Some honorable mentions would be Ghost Rider is obviously a warlock, I think Ward would be a high-leveled rogue especially by the time he’s literally living to be Coulson’s archenemy in season 3, and Calvin Johnson is definitely a barbarian as the show’s version of Mister Hyde who goes into a rage over any minor inconvenience.
I’m looking for some perspective from the OGs who were watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. live back in 2015.
After seasons of "Will-they-won't-they" and Fitz literally crossing the universe to save Jemma, seeing her fall in love with Will on Maveth felt like a total gut punch.
For those of you who had to wait a full week (or more) after that episode aired: Did you think the FitzSimmons ship had officially sunk, or did you stay hopeful it was just a "delay" in their story?
Not knowing what was going to happen next must have been torture. Usually, in TV, when a character finds a new love interest during a separation, it spells the end for the original pairing. Seeing Jemma give up hope and move on—even if it was for survival—felt like such a blow to the "one and only" connection they had.
A few things I’m curious about:
Was the fandom "Team Will" at all, or was everyone just devastated for Fitz?
Did you feel like Jemma’s feelings for Will "cheapened" her bond with Fitz, or did you see it as a realistic reaction to being stranded on a desert planet for six months?
At the time, did you think Fitz was going to give up on her after he found out?
Looking back, we know how it ends, but man, I can’t imagine the stress of scrolling through Reddit the night that episode aired. It felt like the writers were actively trying to break our hearts.
Looking at them in the "Bus" days, it’s insane to think about the absolute hell the writers put this team through by the end of the series.
We all know everyone suffered immensely, but when you look at the original Season 1 team (Coulson, May, Daisy/Skye, Fitz, Simmons)
Personally, I think it comes down to a toss-up between Fitz or Daisy, but who do you guys think had it the worst?
Note: I’m not including Ward in the running here—while he had a rough childhood, he chose the path of the villain, so it's hard to put him in the same 'victim' category as the others."
I'm on S4E1 and I just started the rewatch 10 days ago. I absolutely forgot how brilliant this show is.
The writing. The casting. The MCU continuity. The one liners. Lola. There is a reason this show is top 5 for me. Showed my gf a few episodes and she loves Fitz-Simmons.
Just had to share how much I love this show.
PS: Rosalind Price's '57 T-Bird > Lola. I said what I said.
I only finished up to Season 5 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before, but now I’m finally almost done with Season 7. Honestly, in my opinion, Mack is the most useless and annoying character in the entire show. Every scene he’s in feels unbearable to me. But at this point, I don’t have a choice but to hate-watch until I’m done with the series.
When I first watched AoS I initially stopped at season 4 when it was ongoing. So this was my first time experiencing season 5. May and Daisy were so selfish imo during the last stretch of the finale. I was heavily siding with Yoyo. And I felt annoyed for Fitz Simmons with being the hard carry in tech and medical. While the “Doctor” fitz scene with him pinning down Daisy was harsh and definitely could’ve been handled better, it truly was necessary in the long run.
So what was everyone feelings like about May and Daisy with the whole Coulson or the World aspect? I hated when May dropped the opium without a care about the group discussion.
Hey so I have kind of a specific question it’s about season four episode nine called broken promises when senator nadeer shoots her brother and pushes him into the ocean and he forms a second cocoon. Was that just a throwaway scene or do you think that there was more planning to that?
Hello all! I'm currently rewatching and last night I watched 4x08 and noticed something that I found confusing. For context, this is the episode where Robbie and Eli are in the box and get destroyed. At the end of the episode, we see Coulson and Daisy talking where he tells her that he wanted her to be director of S.H.I.E.L.D. They mention Robbie and Colson says he believes he'll "make it back" because "the last ghost rider did". Daisy asks him about it but he just moves on.
So. My question is, what was he talking about? In the show, Robbie is the only ghost rider we ever see. We see the moment he becomes the rider and we see the rider transfer to Mack and later on we see Coulson take it but thats all! Anway, if anyone knows what/who Coulson was referring to please let me know! I find it odd that they have him say that but don't provide more details.
putting a spoiler just in case!
i always wondered if there was a scenario where both may and daisy are like dying and like severely in need of rescuing but their at different locations for example (idk) BUT HE CAN ONLY CHOOSE TO SAVE ONE…who do u think he will save? i genuinely have no idea so what r ur thoughtsss
