Hello fellow Simi-lians. Has anyone noticed the strong odor of feces and burning garbage at night? Sometimes it also smells briefly like a fire or firewood. I am starting to suspect either my neighbors are burning trash at night or it might be from the landfill. It has been going on since before all the fires and I am sick of it its only gotten worse. It's always around 12AM to 4AM when the air is supposed to be fresh and it makes me upset. I live in east Simi Valley around Stearns and Cochran. Does anyone know what's causing this or smell it? I can't have my windows open at night it feels worse than living in downtown LA.
I know last week there was a complete outage, but my cell service is still very unreliable. I can't make or receive phone calls from my house (LA Ave and Tapo). Anyone else experiencing issues with Verizon?
Are anyone here who run at the Arroyo Simi Greenway? Is it safe for runners as it's used by bikers too? Is it OK to bring kids for shorter jogs? Tanks in advance.

No, the current homeowners moved there in 2008 so they were not aware.

I got notified it's available in my area and I locked in a lifetime price beforehand so I'd be getting the incentive.
Wife's car was parked on the street in front of our house(we live near Cochran and Stearns). We heard her car alarm go off at 2:30-3am. It stopped before we could turn it off so we thought it was an another driver turning off their alarm. Come to find out her catalytic converter was stolen. Quoted close to 3,000$ to have it fixed. Consider protecting your cars.
Edit: Found a mechanic who can fix it for 1400$.

Karla Menjivar and her dad, Mario Menjivar, heard their dogs barking like crazy and brought the dogs in. The dogs are fine. This morning, when they went into the backyard, they noticed some of their bushes were knocked over and discovered a mountain lion up their tree. The authorities were called. The mountain lion is safe in the tree, and they're keeping an eye on it. This happened on Windy Drive in Newbury Park, California.
