I want to get a game and I saw that it was on sale. Is it a good game for someone that's never played sniper elite? If it isn't, what should I get?

For a while in years 1 and 2 of SE5 it seemed like this was a daily occurrence, someone reporting being blown up at the spawn point, rematching, same thing. This went on for many months, with the main protagonists lapping up the attention [and exhibiting much concerning behaviour]. Then all of a sudden... gone. Hardly ever mentioned again. I haven't come across a spawn trapper for over a year or more.

This makes me wonder, was it really only two or three players doing this? I've been playing WarDogs and there's some unreal weirdos deliberately being very cunty towards pretty much everyone. Griefing seems to be getting worse. Why?

Interesting one. I've never come across a cheat like this myself.

I was playing as Karl in SE5 Axis Invasion mode when I got invaded. Within about a second, BOOM! Headshot. Didn't even have time to move. Rematch. BOOM! Instantaneous headshot the split second the game started. One more rematch. BOOM! Headshot again.

I wasn't even mad! Cheaters frustrate the hell out of me when they spend time pretending to play normally before killing you, but kate@19 didn't even try to hide the fact that they were cheating, which I kind of have to respect. I mean, it's a complete and utter waste of their time, which could be spent playing something else - properly - but figuratively holding up a giant flashing sign screaming "I can't play, so I'm a massive cheat!" is kind of funny to me.

It's a type of cheat I've never come across before. Clearly, they spawned into the map way out of my line of sight, yet still managed to get an instantaneous headshot three times in a row. It's a first for me after many years of SE5.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi people, I’ve been thinking about the missions in SE5R and, on my second authentic playthrough, trying to do each mission without dying and without quick saves. Assault on Fort Rouge was the first to give me difficulty. The whole of the outside map is fine, and interesting, but the underground section seems insanely difficult. The guards there are armoured and have a strange smg. In one case, I was downed by a single burst from full health. I find the walk way sections difficult on authentic because the troopers are so hard to spot.

So far, Dead Drop and Two Barrels have been my favourites, but I think all of the campaign maps are pretty solid (for the SE 5 style). Any one else struggle with this bit?

I have a few bucks saved and I can afford either the bundle on Humblebundle that comes with SE 3, 4 and 5 (I already have 5 and played 3 on a friend's house), or get the Fanatical edition of Sniper Elite Resistance.

I know these games are mainly focused on singleplayer, but I wanted to know if Resistance is more co-op oriented or invasion oriented than 4, or has less content and focus more on replayability with invasions (Resistance would be the basic edition, while SE 4 would be the Deluxe edition).

I love both settings and scenarios, and I loved 5. I didn't like SE 3 much because of the stealth (I find it different than 5).

With this info, which one would be better for me for playing singleplayer with invasions disabled?

In SE5, "Loose Ends", if you shoot Möller's car before he's in it, the driver will drive away leaving Möller to run after it.
