“the whinny”

i usually can’t remember my dreams at all! i have no clue what the context was or what was happening in my dream, but i had this dessert and woke up and cemented it in my mind so i could make a post :) it actually sounds like it would be pretty good

sour apple slices, vanilla bean ice cream, hot caramel, cinnamon, and flaky salt. the apples were specifically uncooked- which i think would be a very interesting texture and harder to eat. i KNOW this would be absolutely banger if the apples were stewed.

also i have no idea why it’s called “the whinny.” maybe cause horses love apples?

Salt from sneezing iguanas

Sorry for my English.

I was in a supermarket searching for iodine tablets after a nuclear accident at a US military base. Before buying them I received a phone call from a friend advising me to not get them, because I'm too old and they can damage the thyroid.

He told me to go to the spice aisle and buy salt sneezed by Iguanas. There I was instructed to go to an animal shelter because the salt needed to be "fresh". At the animal shelter (located in the supermarket) a guy told me that the salt could not protect me from the radioactive iodine, but it was a delicatessen and therefore worth buying.

I complained that it looked (and probably tasted) like common table salt. The guy made a tomato bruschetta with abundant salt to prove that I was wrong but I was more interested in seeing the iguanas (I couldn't, apparently the radiation "upset them").

Giant caramel marshmallows

I was at some sort of fair or convention hall wandering through the aisles and my group had these giant marshmallows, like a foot tall and 4 inches in diameter. They were gooey on the inside but weren't toasted on the outside. On top of the marshmallow was soft caramel that dripped over the sides, but it was firmer than a caramel sauce.

When we bought them, they weren't wrapped or in a dish or anything, so we just carried them around and set them down on paper that we had on hand when we needed both hands.

It's been several days now and I can't stop thinking about how good it would be 😋
