Tremors and Left Handers

Greetings everyone!

I discovered fountain pens as a hobby at the end of last year. I love the plethora of ink and pen combinations. My eventual snag hit when the tremor in my right hand prevented me from writing with a fountain pen, the subtle shake made for atrocious hand writing and was extremely irritating and disheartening.

I ended up giving my meager collection to my daughter and her husband to enjoy, but I still lurk and I still want to use a fountain pen.

My question is, can a 50 something year old learn to write with his left hand and would I be able to use a fountain pen if I do? I have read there is way to hold it called underwriting? I’m just not sure if I can manage even though my left hand does not have the tremor.

Interesting side note: when in grade school I gravitated toward writing with my left hand but the teacher made me write with my right hand so that’s the way I learned.

Thanks in advance for any info or advice.
