[stupid question] Does our favorite racer have some connection to the 1954 Fast and the Furious film?
I stumbled across the cover of the 1954 film by accident and the similarities were too much for my brain to pass up. The font and checkerboard pattern are too similar for my brain to dismiss as coincidence given the thematic overlap of IPs. Does anyone know of any interviews or such that speak more about this?

Boxed Speed Racer Hot Wheels
I was going through some of my old stuff and I found these 4 Hot Wheels still in the box, currently trying to repay back some of my college debt and was wondering how much these would be as I couldn't find much information online

Mach 5
I got this Mach 5 at a toy event yesterday; it is still in good condition and the gimmick works fine. The three discs are complete, but it is missing the figure. I got it for only 6.40 USD.

Today’s Find
Today i bought this F1 Shooting Star, it came without its package, the first image is a reference. I made a comparison with the Augury figures i have, which is not a fair since they are not the same.
I’m really happy for this expansion of my collection

The new Project Twin Mill casting by Hot Wheels feels like a rejected Casa Cristo Rally car
