Not sure if the casting was an intentional reference or he's just casted at the right place, right time. Wish the pastor had more screentime and maybe interaction with Robbie though.

Ben riley IS peter parker

I’m just making this post because every day I keep seeing more and more people confused and I’m just hoping that maybe this will help a few people who don’t understand get what’s going on in the show. We hear multiple times about how Ben Riley changed his name, but somehow people still missed that? He even mentioned his aunt and the name Ben Riley itself holds significance because he got Ben from uncle Ben and Riley from Aunt mays maiden name even more so implying that he’s Peter Parker just a quick little add-on this is not connected to the Spider verse movies in any way shape or form. spider verse noir is separate from comic noir is separate from live action noir. I hope this finds the right people. Please don’t come at me for stating the obvious. I thought it was obvious too, but a lot of people are very uninformed even after finishing the show.

We’re getting more Spider-Noir!

I loved Spider-Noir and I’m confident we’re getting more!

- Spider-Noir is one of Amazon’s best performing shows ever and has better viewership than other great Amazon sci-fi shows.
According to televisionstats.com, in the past year Spider-Noir is one of the strongest performing shows. It has outperformed Amazon classics like the Expanse, and only been out performed by shows like Incredible and Fallout. The show peaked at #1. Simply it’s a solid show among other shows that have received at least 2 seasons.

- The crew is ready to make another Season!
Show runner Oren Uziel said to the Hollywood Reporter, “One of the magical things about any private detective story is, if you want another story, all it takes is another client to knock on that door.” Executive producer Phil Lord said to THR, “[We] would be happy to do more. We are television producers. We’re not gonna say no.”

- SpiderNoir is selling a ton of merchandise!
The secret to superhero movies, shows and comics is that success is not just viewership, it’s as Spaceball’s Yogurt said, “MERCHANDISING!” Blu-ray’s, Funko pops, action figures and comics and more all seem to be rapidly selling on direct and secondary markets!

Do you want a second season?
What would you like to see in a Season 2?

Why does Fitz not tell Silvermane that Ben is The Spider?

He knows from their fight on the rooftop at the start of the series that Ben can swing from and shoot webs.

He knows that Silvermane at least sees The Spider as a nuisance if not a threat, and it interested in being loyal to him. Fitz also seems to have a personal grudge against Ben, so its a win-win.

Is he genuinely just unable to make the connection that a man who swings from webs could possibly be The Spider? Not suspicious enough to even mention it?

Me estás diciendo qué Janet es la contraparte multiveral de Ned? Xd

No deja de causarme gracia como lograron construir dos personajes tan entrañables que cumplen funciones análogas como secretaria o amigo de la silla :D

I loved this spider, so different from other spider mans

I loved the fact that he didn't give much fuck about people finding out he is the spiderman. Lowkey I always hated the fact seeing other spiderman struggling through daily life routines and not getting any special treatment.

I am always saying in my mind "only if you guys knew he was the spiderman".

Noir was mostly known in his close circle and the fact that his mask was torned lil bit in the last episode and he didn't care much or tried to cover face.

Alternative opening sequence (Fan-made)

Since I watched this opening sequence for the first time, I had one song in mind that I thought would fit perfectly. So I did it! I did some editing and replaced the original song "Saving Grace" - KIRBY with "Hard Heart" - Elliot Holmes. I got nothing against the original, I just didn't think it complemented the series atmosphere.

Here's a link to the YouTube post I made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvwEdsc9DY0

Is the street urchin kid supposed to be Peter (implied future passing of the mantle?)

If the kid is supposed to be the in-universe version of Peter, then it’s possible he inherits the “refined” version of Ben’s philosophy - “with great power….” instead of “with no power….”. He’d need his own arc, obviously, to explain his origin - but by the time he’s in his twenties, a radioactive spider would be a distinct possibility. He certainly has the wisecracking city kid vibe for it. Personally really enjoyed his and Ben’s chemistry, very reminiscent of a Batman/Robin style mentoring relationship (though I think the nod was more towards Dick Tracy). I could totally see him becoming the traditional blue-and-red friendly neighborhood Spidey in that universe, once he’s all grown up.

Edit: Just realized Ben Reilly is implied to be a new name adopted by The Spider (presumably to prevent his identity being traced to the PoW camp). So I suppose it’s also possible Ben is implied to be Peter, minus the rights etc because Sony. It’s just fun to think that the kid might actually be Peter.

Where did the multi verse Go?

I have a few issues about the last episode but i think the one we will all agree on is "what the hell happened to the multi verse thing?"

at the start of the series ben says someone asked him w

what universe it was?

Implying that we will see someone from another multi verse later on, but it seems they just forgot about

My only two complaints in an otherwise fantastic show

  1. The reveal that Janet knew Ben was the Spider:

I thought the series up until the reveal was implying she was just as in-the-loop as Robbie. So when she said she already knew and Ben was shocked, it was a bit jarring. I’m making up that Ben had just temporarily drunkenly forgot from all the alcohol.

  1. The reveal that this character WASN’T Ben Reilly after all but Peter Parker using an alias:

I really like Ben over Peter. I HATE Marvel’s treatment of him ever since they brought him back. They are literally dragging him through the mud. So when this series advertised that they swapped out Peter for Ben, I was so excited. And then Freckles just ruined it when he said he’d have contacted Ben earlier if he hadn’t changed his name.

Otherwise fantastic show. I was a little leery about Nicolas Cage, not due to his acting skills; he has what it takes to do a great job, but his age. I am bummed he said he probably won’t be back for a second season since he likes the story as-is as self-contained.

Is this a reference to something?

I thought it referenced the Powerpuff Girls, then I realized the show had 3 sisters and PRESUMABLY didn't took place in 1930's lmao

Pikachu Noir — Spider-Man Noir inspired multipart figurine, FDM printed

Fan-made mashup I've been working on: Pikachu dressed as Spider-Man Noir,

with a flowing trench coat, wide-brimmed fedora, ears poking through the hat,

and the classic white goggle lenses.

Multipart print, no AMS needed. Snap joints included but glue recommended.

Comes with a matching NYC-style base — cobblestones and manhole cover.

One tip if you print it at standard scale: the goggle lenses are very thin,

painting them white directly on the model works better than printing

the separate pieces.

question about s1 ep6

why didn't ben's spidey senses anticipate ogden pulling out a sedative to inject him? is it because he's aging and not in his "prime" anymore?

So, about this scene in chapter 8

I know it's a TV series and some stuff has to be "assumed" for the plot, but there's this scene in which Leyden is constantly saying that he knows Ben from somewhere, just to end up remembering he knows him from France.

Then everybody assumes that he's The Spider because he was in France, but there's not a single moment in which Ben tries to get away from that situation saying that he knows him because he's the guy that saved them from the Germans and that he wasn't (directly)experimented on.

It wouldn't make a difference because it's as easy saying "yeah, we don't trust you", but I found it weird that Ben didn't even try it.

Of course this doesn't change the fact that I loved the show.

Is the name "Ben Reilly" and Nicolas Cage being the actor here and in National Treasure movies with characters Ben and Riley a complete coincidence?

I'm not very familiar with the history of Spider Noir in different mediums (just about halfway through the show) but was curious if that name has a long history or if it somehow was used because Nick Cage is in it. Thanks.
