I wish the characters that go by it/its pronouns in Splatoon was more common knowledge
Whenever I see Commander Tartar or Smollusk get brought up in discussions, people always refer to them with masculine pronouns and it's like... I doubt anyone does it with malicious intent so I can't exactly be mad. Hell, I originally referred to Tartar with masculine pronouns for awhile until I later realized that it exclusively goes by it/its.
I do still find it unfortunate that nobody really talks about this and tries to make it as common knowledge as, say, Acht going by they/them pronouns, since I find it/its characters to be cool and under appreciated.
It is odd in retrospect. Literally nothing implies Tartar is male throughout Octo Expansion, yet that's how many saw it anyways. For all we know it could have spent the majority of its screentime talking to Eight in a thick valley girl accent lol.
