EY fare difference 2 one way tickets vs 1 ticket with layover

Hey everyone, I’m checking flights with EY that include a layover.

However on MyIDtravel, doing the whole flight with the layover is cheaper than buying each leg individually.

Why so? And would you recommend buying the ticket with the layover and not both legs separately?

SV cancellation/modification rules

Hey everyone, I’m planning to fly with Saudia next week, the loads seem pretty tight so fingers crossed.

However when i read the agreements on myID travel, it says the following:

- The listing must be done/changed/cancelled no later than one day prior to thedeparture.

- Firm tickets should be cancelled 24 hoursprior departure to avoid the no show.

I find it absurd. What if a couple of hours before i see that it is overbooked so i decide to take an earlier flight just to be safe. I won’t be able to do so then? Or what if i get rejected because it’s full, and i take a flight that is in 3 hrs, i wouldn’t be able to?

I thank you in advance for your answers

If I’m able to book 2 legs on a single PNR does that mean I can get through-checked?

I’m able to book myself on BLR-CMB-SYD on Sri Lankan Airlines. There’s a transit time of like 1.15 hours so I’d only consider this if they can check my bag in all the way to SYD and confirm a seat for me at BLR.

Flight’s looking 40% full in both legs so I’m pretty confident I’d get on but I don’t have the transit time to go through customs, pick up my bag, check in, and go through security again.

EY First Upgrade

Does Etihad upgrade revenue passengers to 1st class in case it’s empty but business classes is full, to make room for standby travellers?
Thanks

How does staff travel differ between EK, EY, and QR?

What are the differences in working for these 3 Middle Eastern airlines?

Business standby

Hi! First time using my benefits for my family. I booked my dad business standby on an Etihad flight. Would he get cleared after all business upgrades are cleared?

Just wondering what they usually prioritize.

Thanks!

Non-rev standby- can you take a cat (in cabin under seat)? 🔺

Normally you’d pay at check in for the cat but not sure what happens with non-rev standby since you don’t check in ahead and don’t go to desk until you get to gate

Any advice is appreciated? Would suck to get there and not be able to take her

Question with understanding standby apps

I recently got a flight load updated saying there’s 0 economy/economy plus through staff travel but when I look at expert flyer and id travel it shows available economy seats. I’m fairly new to the whole non rev standby, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Toronto to Delhi early July changes

Hi guys,

Tried to non-rev on Air Canada today from Toronto to Delhi on an OA ticket. I was very low on the standby list but
surprisingly got a boarding pass.

Unfortunately, a pilot or higher-priority traveler showed up at the last minute and I got bumped.

Now I’m just trying to get to Delhi by any route, even with a connection. Any recommended routes or airlines that usually work better for OA travelers?

Thanks!

European ULCC Employee Flight benefits

Howdy to my European Colleagues, out of curiosity, how are your flight benefits? I have always wondered why specifically Ryanair and EasyJet don’t offer standby reciprocal agreements with most (if not all) US carriers. This is just some food for thought I had on my last trip to Europe and would’ve loved to use some of either of the aforementioned carriers in a pinch. Any insight is greatly appreciated, just curious to see what the standby world is like for employees of European ULCCs specific FR and U2.

Cheers!
