Check in or not?

Hi, I’m really new to standby flying. I think someone said when I’m on standby when the app says you can check in but I’m listed on multiple AIRLINES on standby is the recommendation not to click check-in? Can someone please advise

SWA Future Confirmed switch to standby now?

I work for another airline. They’re policy states I cannot hold a confirmed and a standby listing for the same day and time and I understand that but it only states my airline name. I think it might be a standard industry policy, but my question is if I purchase a confirmed seat and my flight isn’t for another two weeks, can I cancel it now and take a gamble to be on standby on SWA? I’m not their employee. My airline does not tell us what the timeline is.

Non rev ticket & Confirm ticket day apart

Technical question, I understand the rule, if I have a purchased ticket, no Nonrev for same flight on same day. But hypothetically if I have a rev ticket for Sunday but I decide to leave early like maybe Saturday. Can I have a Nonrev ticket for Saturday and cancel Sunday?

The only thing I understand is same day but I hear it’s depends on the airline or is it by your employers Nonrev policy?

Multiple listings ok?

Hello I’m new to this and yes I read the FAQ but can’t find the answer. Am I allowed to book multiple standbys listings on different airlines if I want to get on whatever flight has space for me? For example PHX to LAX, I see Alaska, SWA, and United had direct flights. Can I pay for all three on myidand figure it out at the airport which one will let me on? And when the apps says to check in, do I not check in bc I don’t have an assigned seat? Thanks all!
