Come on man.
I swear to god this thing is never gonna be done.

I swear to god this thing is never gonna be done.
I have heard users say they cracked the frame on their platy and its a bit concerning. I'm about to get mine in a few weeks and this has me up at night. How do I avoid cracking my soft aluminum frame?
Ridiculously flat now
Got the lucky 7s done at my local shop! Now it feels like I’m shooting a very loud .22😂 also touched grass🤘
just got a custom made holster from river arms lmk what yall think
Switched from RMR to the PB3 and just wanted to give yall a heads up.
The optic itself is really cool. Multi-reticle, nice buttons, nice windows and all that. But getting it onto the Platypus was such a pain in the asshole. The PB3 has a small hood which is slightly smaller than where it sits above the chamber.
I should've done some more research before buying, and I ultimately decided to trim the hood. Now that's it's on, I love it. It does catch some dust/debris after a few hundred rounds because of the hood, but the Platy to me is a range toy so I don't really mind. But I just wanted to share in case there's one guy on here that's looking at picking up the optic. It will need to be shaven down to fit on these.
It ended up shipping with KCI mags because apparently there is a Glock mag shortage.
I love the prickle grip but can see how that might start to bite if you shoot a lot.
I will say the only other 1911 I’ve had was a government Fudd style Remington R1 45 ACP and the upgrades on this one in comparison are insane. I’ve definitely found my new favorite range toy.
I have ordered mine with the EXTRA prickle but do not expect to see it until September. Does anyone have any photos of EXTRA Aggressive Prickle for comparison? Appreciate it!
Does anyone have a good print file for dry fire mags with an extended base pad? Currently using some that have had a sacrificial mag cut and melted on to give the extension. Yes I know proper dry fire mags exist, but I have 2lbs of filament at a friend’s house he is tired of storing for me. Please forgive me if it’s something extremely easy to find, but I gave it the good old google search and didn’t find much of what I was looking for(basically what I have just one cohesive print)everything I’ve managed to find was either hollow, or regular length mags
Shout out to /u/J_StandTall for hooking me up with a great deal and being patient with all my requests for status updates.
Got mine today. Ninja 🥷 turtle 🐢 theme build out. What’s everyone running for mag extension? I have Strike Industries for my other guns and these ones don’t fit inside the magwell.
Im pretty indecisive and I don’t have the greatest sense of creativity/fashion… thoughts?
I’d appreciate any criticism and suggestions!
Three different color selections…
If you take a look at my earlier post in here, I had a casing detonate (as seen in picture #2) that caused my trigger and palm safety to go dead. Sent it off to Stealth Arms for repair, fixed it up without a dime out of my pocket. On top of that; on the repair form I said “I’m including the casing that killed the gun for you guys to gaze upon, please send it back so I can pee on it” to which I got the following.
Stealth Arms is 🅱️ased as fuck and I will 100% be getting a commander length platy down the line now.
I just got my platypus comped version. I’m looking for good holster recommendations. One for inside the waistband and one for outside. I heard a staccato holster works but I don’t know which kind and if they’ll work with the comp. Any helpful tips are appreciated.
Its hard to wait but well worth it!
SRO/X300A, Vortex Bronze/Armor Black cerakote.
I'm seriously impressed with it, compared to my other 1911s. The slide feels a good bit smoother than my Dan Wesson (also aluminum frame), with a slightly better trigger as well! The tolerances feel slightly looser, and Cerakote has it's downsides, but otherwise the Platy genuinely feels better put together. At about 300 rounds through it so far
I don't like the belt attachment, but I have an aluminum hanger on order.
