Long story short:

I sent my brand new model 27-9 in for warranty repair. The forcing cone was marring up the cylinder face. It was scratched up pretty bad. Smith and Wesson say they fixed it and sent it back.

I received the gun. First thing I notice, the bluing on the cylinder is matte. It doesnt match the rest of the gun at all. The work order form says they only refinished the cylinder. I have life and work so I put the gun away and decide to worry about it later.

Shoot the gun, notice the cylinder is still getting marred. Call smith again, now sending 27-9 in for warranty repair a second time. They assured me they would get it right this time. Last slide is the note i left in the box for this 2nd warranty repair.

Additional details:

Smith sent an invoice in trying to charge me $110 after I sent the gun in the first time. I raised hell. They said it was a mistake. Whatever. Lady on the phone said the Head Gunsmith will personally look at my revolver. I think thats absolutely bullshit. This is garbage tier work. WILL NEVER BUY A NEW SMITH

I just installed the top seal. I didnt have a 36mm socket so i just tried my best to install it flush.

The bottom of the seal is in slightly more than the top. Its flush at the top. Do I need to remove this and reinstall again? Its in there real tight so would I need to take the cover off again to remove it? Thank you.

Really pleased with how the gun shoots. The main reason I am switching from my Glock 19 is because I want to have the DA/SA functionality for appendix carry. Call me a paranoid freak but Im always a little hesitant with my Glock and being able to put my thumb on the hammer makes me feel a little better. I know it’s a stupid reason but id rather not lose my testicles for a dumb mistake.

Im probably going to send the slide to vigilante machine for an EPS cut in these next few weeks.

This is a customized mc operator. Local Gunsmith checkered the front strap and installed harrison design components. My favorite 1911 and a sweet shooter.

Using 147 grain handloads. Super soft shooting!

This is my first vintage watch. I found it on ebay with the original box. The condition looked spectacular and I really liked the shape of the case. I looked at the serial number on the movement and it indicates this particular watch was made in 1922!

My model 19-4 has a gritty double action trigger pull Ive been dry firing it a ton with snap caps however there is still a lot of grit especially near the end of the pull.

Is it okay if I use mothers mag aluminum polish and a dremmel felt tip to polish the double action engagement surfaces? Should I do it by hand? The polish should not take off any material.

Ive used the dremmel and polish on glocks before to smoothen their triggers out and it works great. Just want to make sure Im not going to damage the gun.

Smith and wesson Model 19-4. This gun is 47 years old.

This particular revolver was made in the year 1979. Def the finest revolver I own.
