Steve angst, Bucky and Natasha Romanoff

I'm searching for a fic that has Steve angst over Natasha's death, bonus points if Bucky death guilt is also in the mix and also has stucky.

I don't mind if Stucky is the main focus or not, it should just be there. Mainly looking for Steve centric angst fics, though I'm open to all.

My only condition is that it shouldn't have Steve/bucky/natasha or any other polyamorous relationship including the main couple.

what is everyone’s ALL TIME fav stevebucky fic?

i want to know what is everyone’s favourite stevebucky fic of all time, like the fic you could never move on from, the one you keep returning to year after year, the one that completely changed your view of their relationship or of the characters themselves.

i’ll go first, mine is The Constant by TheConstant1944
(if you’d like to check it out, PLEASE heed the warnings)

BEST getting together during ww2-fanfics anyone?

I’ve tried to look up fanfics like that on AO3, but the summaries aren’t the best to give bait.

So, what’s y’all’s favourite Stucky fanfics set during WW2? Bonus point if period-typical homophobia/internalised etc is one of the tags (love me some angst).

Ps. I’m mostly looking for fanfics when they are both in the military but I am open for others as well.

Looking for stucky fic recs

If anybody knows any fics like this I'd be very grateful, preferably ao3 but I'll read anywhere

  1. Steve commits suicide when he crashes the plane because he doesn't want to live without him, bonus points if it shows him waking up from the ice

  2. Steve and captain America are different people. E.g. swearing, accent etc. Doesn't have to have stucky or Steve

  3. Steve secretly grieving after the ice and hiding it from the avengers, bonus points if it has the team realizing how much he's struggling

I don't know if this is the right place to put this but if anyone could give me any recs I would be so so so grateful

Bucky stans, let’s talk about it

4 years ago I got into the Marvel films for the first time in my life and unfortunately I became very fixated on the relationship between Steve and Bucky and I used to cry every night for a week straight thinking about them. I took a break from the franchise because of where it was headed, and now after seeing the new spiderman movie, I’m like, obsessed with it all over again, and I need to talk about it with SOMEONE.

What Steve did was selfish to both Bucky and Peggy, she had already lived a fulfilling life and found love, she did not need to be with a man who she would eventually out-age. They also had zero connection aside from finding each other attractive and kissing once.

He told Bucky he’d be with him til the end of the line and then left him. They had a well established connection that was so deep and lowkey homoerotic we started shipping them. (I’ve also heard that something involving Stucky inspired Heated Rivalry? Idk). It would have been nice for them to also realize they’ve always had a thing for each other, and since homosexual relationships are legal and not as frowned upon in present day vs the 1940s, they could have stayed here and finally be together. Also who doesn’t want to see two hot men with chemistry kiss?? like sue me idgaf😭

It would have also been cool if we could have taken the attraction he had for Peggy, and the relationship he had with Bucky, and made him somewhat of a bisexual icon in that regard. I understand why realistically this would never work (Disney, major backlash from older homophobic fans and young incels alike, etc.) so it just makes this all the more sad that there are opportunities that had been squandered by outdated mindsets that hold us back from beautiful things.

What are yalls thoughts on them being romantically involved, how would you have introduced this concept into the franchise, when would you make it happen, etc.

I’m also open to hearing why this would never have worked as long as there is no homophobia involved in your arguments.

Omega Steve kneeling on the floor in a cafe

It was by an author who writes a lot of Alpha Bucky/Omega Steve.

I think Steve is kind of conflicted about submitting, but Bucky is a very composed and compelling Alpha. Steve just can’t resist kneeling even though they’re in public, and really he loves it.

Ringing any bells?
