My oil cap on my MS251 is not sealed at the bottom when I lock it. I've tried readjusting the O ring and pressing hard on the cap when twisting shut. Anyone know what my issue is?
Hi, I am based in Australia, there is around a 127 USD difference between the 391 and 362, is the 362 better considering it has less cc than the 391. Mainly using if for clearing medium to large trees on my land. Is the 362 worth the extra money?

I’m looking for a second, larger Stihl saw to complement my 2014 MS 261 C-M.
Right now, I cut about 20 cubic meters (around 5.5 cords) of firewood per year. My MS 261 runs with 40cm (16") and 50cm (20") bars. While it is a fantastic workhorse, it really struggles and bogs down when I face larger logs in the 60 to 90 cm (24 to 35 inches) diameter range.
I want to establish a solid two-saw plan: use the MS 261 for limbing and medium tasks, and a bigger saw dedicated to felling and bucking the heavy stuff.
I am currently trying to decide between these options:
Given my annual volume and the tree sizes, which one would be the most logical complement to the MS 261? Also, what bar length would you recommend pairing with it for this specific setup?

I got a brand new MS250 for Christmas last year and, unfortunately, during a tree trimming in a man basket a limb took it down about 30 foot and cracked the gas tank. Working on procurement of parts but in the mean time went ahead and picked up these two beauts. Have about 5-8 acres of mixed woods I'm clearing for pasture and wanted something with a bit more oomph for felling as I had to dog on the 250s pretty hard. Also wanted something that would absolutely rip on a 24/25" bar. Already looking into mods for the 460 especially lol.

Took it to my repair shop to see about having the spark plug socket rethreaded. They just called and left a message that the whole motor needs replacing. Best to get a new blower.
The blower is eight years old. Should I take it to a different shop for a second opinion or just get a new blower?
Context : I’m mostly retired. I only use my blower on my own property and three properties I do landscape maintenance on (no lawn mowing). I don’t to leaf removals either.
On a tight budget and am trying to get this weed eater running and in removing the carb for inspection/cleaning, I noticed the tank vent, part #6 in the diagram attached appears to be in 2 pieces as the top of it popped off when I removed the tank. Is this part meant to be in 2 pieces or could that be the issue I was having with a severe loss of power/rpms? If not meant to be in 2 pieces, I assume I need to replace it so does it just pop out of the tank? I pried on it a little but thought I better get some input before I ruin something I don't need to. Any help appreciated.
I'm having an issue with the chain oil pick-up tube on my 170 chainsaw. I wanted to replace it because it was leaking , but the new one seems to kink and stop the flow of oil when inserted into the tank. Does anyone know if the filter end is supposed to sit in the lower tank section or push up into the larger part of the tank. Also , if you pop the pump end of the tube off when the tube is installed and the tank is full of oil, should oil run out of the tube to indicate the line is clear and installed correctly? At present , no oil runs out of the open tube end??? Thanks
