Hi everyone, we’re Acid Brain (酸腦) from Taipei, Taiwan. We started this band back in high school, and this is our first full-length album — recorded entirely by ourselves in our rehearsal room and bedrooms.

It blends post-rock, noise rock and stoner, with a 16-minute three-act desert epic at its core. We got to work with some amazing guests, and it was mastered by Soichiro Nakamura (Boris).

I remind you that there is no music created using artificial intelligence here. Only live guitar, bass. The working wind instruments were made using VST, but there is already an agreement to record a saxophonist and a trumpeter! Good luck to all!

Just messing about with this tune as I’m a bit obsessed… especially the big doom riffs.. they were so good live.. “No I ain’t got no sugar baby now”..

For me it's definitely Kombynat Robotron. Saw them at Freak Valley last year, but they have been on my mind non stop lately. Impeccable groove and sound.

I haven't watched these, or any, DVDs for a few years but I found my collection again recently. These two stood out and immediate rewatches.

Any other documentaries/ live shows/ films in the stoner rocks scene that anyone recommends?

US sludge-doom metal collective Stay Dead (with members of High Desert Queen, Aiwass, Hollow Light) present their new single "Electric Mistress" featuring High On Fire legend Matt Pike on guest vocals!

The band is set to release their debut full-length "Beneath The Weight Of Worlds" — featuring guest appearances from Troy Sanders (Mastodon), Matt Pike (High On Fire), Eryka Fir (Coma Hole) and Aiwass — this July 24th on Ripple Music.

Bringing together musicians from across the US heavy underground, Stay Dead! is a heavy, emotionally charged sludge-doom collective founded by U.S. Army veteran Christopher Borrelli as a means of survival, healing, and reclamation that channels crushing heaviness, meditative tension, and cinematic atmosphere into songs that confront the darkest corners of the human experience while searching for meaning beyond them.
