Idk if I’m just absolutely terrible at using the tagging system or if there genuinely aren’t enough fics with this premise 😭 because every time I look for needy/crybaby bottom Bruce Wayne omegaverse with soft dom Clark Kent I find like NOTHINGGG.

There are plenty of Omega Bruce fics but somehow he’s always a power bottom like bro I need Bruce who’s the big scary boss in the streets but a soft, needy crybaby in the sheets IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW like PLEASEEE where are the fics I’m beggingggg (At this point it doesn’t even have to be ABO 😭 even a little light dom/sub dynamic would work lol I’m desperate at this pointttt)

Mostly looking for something steamy where Bruce is secretly SO down bad for Clark but refuses to show it until some plot-thickening moment happens and suddenly the floodgates open like all that pent-up yearning finally comes crashing down.

I'm new to the fandom but I'm sorta in live with the idea of Batman falling in live with Clark Kent and trying to approach him as Bruce Wayne but Clark is not interested but is mist definitely interested in Batman when Kal goes to investigate something in Gotham and Batman has to save him. Superman also obviously likes B but B is only interested jn the investigative journalist who seeks the truth no matter what.

I've read a fic where it was more of a live square with Batman liking Clark but Clark liking Bruce. So any recommendations? I'll take anything, I live a good identity reveal

Hi everyone, I lost this fic a while ago and no matter how I look for it I can't find it and it's driving me insane because I remember thinking it was really good.

It was on ao3, it was romantic Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne, pretty sure it was a One-Shot or at least had very few chapters.

What I remember about the plot: Clark and Bruce know each other from the Justice League but don't know each other's secret identities. Clark goes as a reporter to Gotham, investigating the Waynes because an anonymous source gave him Jason Todd's autopsy report and he is suspecting of Bruce being abusive with his kids. The fic started with Clark arriving at Wayne Tower to interview Tim Drake.

At some point, Clark calls Batman to ask him to lend him a suit while he is in town. Duke Thomas was mention in the fic too.

thought i'd make a rec list of some of my favorite superbat fanfics, while trying to mit the most popular ones everyone always recs (though one or two might make an appearance anyway) and i encourage everyone to leave their own recs under the post, always looking for new fics to read. one small warning, i read both superbat and batsuper and can't remember well which is whych or if i have both dynamics in this list, i do usually prefer top clark but icl sometimes it's fun to switch it up especially when it's a really good fic, so check the tags if you have a strict preference!!

Also these are in no particular order, hopefully you'll enjoy!

No Compasses, No Signs by Starlighter_Varda Bruce POV where he and Clark meet outside the capes and fall in love, only Bruce used to think he wasn't interested in romance or sex and he reallyexplores that before anything happens, in the meantime LexLuthor is romancing Clark and there's so much jealousy and pining and oof it's so fun. a real long ass fic and still updating fairly regularly, it is so damn good, there are some moments clark feels a bit ooc but in the context of the fic it makes sense and honestly adds to the drama of it all, it's messy as hell but man that's what makes it such a yummy meal.

Switch by truc is the newest addition to my favorites despite not being a new fic at all, it's a role reversal where Bruce is the Kryptonian that was adopted by the Kents and Clark is the billionaire heir of Wayne Enterprises, but unlike a typical role reversal the author really digs into what makes each nof them themselves and adapts the story to their canon personalities, which makes for a captivating work. It's a WIP and unlikely to be finished but i still recommend reading it, it is just so amazing and makes me mad more role reversals in general aren't given this much thought and care.

The Company We Keep by WrenA outsider POV (Barry) pretty much an AU where Batman isn't a part of the league but Clark and Bruce are still partners and how Barry slowly figures out who 'B' is, why Nightwing is so close to Superman and whether the Batman is actually a myth (among other things). Complete.

am i the asshole? by mitsukiris and everything else by her tbh (honestly check out all the works for each author but tex is personally my fave), she has so many amazing fics and i love how she characterizes both of them everytime, she doesn't miss. this one in particular is the classic reddit story where a guy discovers his sexuality by being jealous of the guys his roommate has over, with jealous clark and pining bruce. SO GOOD. and the smut is delicious ofc.

Second, Third and Fourth Chances by henriwhooman AU where canon comic universe basically ends and Bruce ends up in an AU where the omegaverse exists, it's a WIP and hasn't updated in a bit but still give it a read, it's so good, his relationship development with Clark is awesome and him ending up in an omegaverse isn't as straighforward as you might think.

i need to get (him) pregnant by PurpleButterfly19 is omegaverse and basically just superbat trying to babytrap one another, and since they're both doing it it's so endearing and a little funny tbh hearing their inner monologues completely unaware what the other is thinking lol. delicious if you ask me.

The Detective's Greatest Blindspot by Tigerphoenix this one updates fairly regularly and is so fun, we haven't quite gotten to the main premise of the fic but all the relationshio development between Clark and Bruce makes it so fun and really promises for heartbreak once we get to the point where Bruce will think Clark is dead and Superman is responsible, please check it out this is one you'll want to follow as it updates.

you go half-blind when you're looking at me by melandrops clark falling pathetically in love with bruce. he has a type okaaaaay? it's the first in a series and will keep you fed for a good while, the character writing and the relationship development is just great. also another author i really recommend checking out.

Blind Spot by Athena_Tan an omegaverse AU where Clark falls for the Omega Bruce Wayne while hating Alpha Batman, not knowing they're the same person ofc and identity porn shenanigans ensue, mix that in with omegaverse shenanigans and you've got the perfect dessert.

You're Toxic (I'm Slipping Under) by vapograys is such a fun read, Clark is such a fuckboy it's honestly a little ooc but it makes for a really fun time especially if you enjoy a little toxicity which trust me Bruce gets him back eventually and it is super sexy tbh.

Worst First (Impression) by i8thecookie has so many misunderstandings and drama and the evolution of their relationship is such a treat. Bruce was a huge dick to Clark in the past and well, now that they meet again he's a bit of flirt but Clark isn't buying, however their relationship progresses slowly as things come to the surface. i8thecookie has such good plot ideas and i recommend checking out all their other works as well.

The New Son of Krypton by Sally_Boomer has Kon coming into being in a different way, and with both Clark's and Bruce's DNA. i will say Bruce seems a bit TOO suspicious of Clark considering at this point in canon he should trust him implicitly but as you get to the latest chapter i do think bruce is just a bit of an unreliable narrator, like he wants to be suspicious and not actually care but he actually cares so much so he hides it behind being a part of the mission which is so yummy to me. and tbh even if he is a bit too suspicious it works delightfully in the fic. it's really good, only has 6 bchapters but it's still updating and i also think it's one to follow, it's a blast to read it.

A World Without Batman by SlightlyPsycho now this is probably the most popular fic on here but i can't not include it, so close to the end i'm paitently waiting for an update to this behemoth of a fic. when someone goes into the past to stop Bruce's parents from dying he wakes up in a world where he was never Batman and Injustice happened basically, however Superbat's conection is greater than expected. Forever one of my favorite fics, which is crazy because I hate injustice universe and feel like Clark couldn't be more ooc in it, but for this fic it is THE BEST, especially as Clark starts realizing the magnitude of everything he did, and how both he and Bruce are ready to sacrifice everything for one another. Just, if you haven't yet, READ THIS.

conner kent-wayne, or, coparents to lovers by snapdragonsuplex is literally the fic series that keeps me alive, all the fics are currently complete but a new one is added to the series each wednesday and it genuinely makes my week. after superman 2025 clark discovers conner as a baby, one of the cloning attempts by luthor and decides to raise him and ofc the person he goes to for help is his best friend batman who takes baby rearing as seriously as any case. so wholesome and so fun, so much pining from both sides, and adorable baby and kid shenanigans bc of all the kids appear eventually. and also some pretty great smut hehe. and this is another author you should check out, their other work is also a goldmine.

a constant satellite of your blazing sun by cherryfeather dimension travel where comic verse superman ends up in a world where superbat has always been together, and vice versa. it's a must read, there are so many good moments, and seeing how different both worlds are is such a blast, and also a little angsty, but in the best way. ofc clark basically raised the batboys in his universe and seeing all the differences, and how other bruce is so lonely oof, it hurts man. but in the way that you enjoy.

The Raven Roosts in Cornflower Blue by Aurora2Sunset was just completed TODAY and honestly following it as it updated was also keeping me going, my saturdays won't be the same anymore. an AU where Bruce goes to Smallville during the summers and they fall in love, following loosely the events of the show Smallville and then moving to their adulthoods. honestly a masterpiece, so well crafted, the characterization is masterful and the way the plot flows is impecable.
