Nokia N8 flashing help
Hey. I recently bought a Nokia N8. I'd really appreciate some help getting Nokia Belle on it. It doesn't necessarily have to be the CFW rom, however I'd like it to feature the Finnish language pack. If that's included with CFW, it'll do as well.
Tips on how to flash a custom firmware on a Symbian phone?
Basically, I just got this Nokia E7-00 and I really love it. Though, I’d like to use it more as almost as a daily driver. Can anyone help me? Would be grateful.

A feature that modern camera flagships still do not have.
Suggestions on a good cheap symbian development phone ?
I'm an indie dev with lots of interest in old hardware, whether it's old pcs, old consoles and old phones. I have the project to build a game engine working on win 9x-win xp pcs, consoles like the nintendo ds, gamecube, etc and potentially old phones running old opengl es versions.
So I'm looking potentially for some that provide access to a native C/C++ api with good debugging capabilities to help the development. with an open source homebrew sdk.
Do you have suggestions that would fit well ? I don't need it to be high in terms of specs since i want to build an optimised engine in the first place.
(Nokia E72) Quickoffice ctrl commands help
What are the ctrl+ commands for bold and underline text on the built-in Quickoffice app (version 6.2.733)? Ctrl + B does a backspace and Ctrl + U does nothing; Ctrl + I actually works for italicizing.
Strangely, all of these commands are working as intended on another built-in note taking app, Active Notes.
Is there a version that has working ctrl commands, or am I better off installing another docx editor?

Nokia N81 with 32GB micro SD (SDHC), it really works.
— Warning: Cards above the officially supported capacity may not be fully compatible and could potentially result in data corruption, so if anyone want to do this, please proceed with caution. —
(Newly added text - 18 August 2026)
A few days ago, I factory reset and hacked it with Norton again (with the microSD removed), because I was trying to install something —QT library or something, but then I removed it since I don’t really need it for my use. Lol
I’m not really sure why, perhaps it’s because there’s more internal space now, the music I have on the SD card only needs to be scanned once, and every time I restart the phone, the playlists are still there. That’s awesome (for the time being —hopefully my card won’t get corrupted because of the warning above)!

(New added text)
As LexoNokiaN & laserwisp stated, 32GB is beyond the officially supported card capacity, and as a result (in my own current experience), it takes quite a while (almost 30 minutes) to scan around 3,500 songs. And whenever the phone is restarted, the music needs to be rescanned, and the playlists are gone too after each restart/rescan.

Just wanna share my happiness, I guess.
I've known for years that this could work with other phones, but I never really tried to give it a shot with more patience (since scanning the music kinda takes a while).
I've had this phone since junior high (2007/2008), and I've been using it again for the past few years because I kinda love the noisy photos we can get with it, and as a music player too since my iPod's battery needs to be replaced.
/Also, referring to my other post in this sub, I'm still looking for HeiseiGothS60.ttf so that all the data —music with Japanese Characters can be displayed correctly. If you guys have it and don't mind sharing it, or know of any other way to make it work, I'd be very grateful!
/The wallpaper I'm using is my own illustration, by the way. Lol.
/For those who might be interested in the wallpaper, here's the link: Drive. For anyone who likes it, thank you! I really appreciate it!
(With the Cherry Theme I use, which I downloaded from m*biles24(.)co, I use the 240×320 one, but if it doesn't fit your phone properly, I included the 800px one too, so you can try resizing it to fit.)
—Edit reason: Added a link to the wallpaper I use.
Nokia N97 mini
Nokia N97 mini is one of many Symbian devices from golden era. It had 3G/Wi-Fi supported, QWERTY keyboard and Carl Zeiss Tessar 2.8/5.4 AF 5MP rear camera.
My Nokia collection keeps growing… I think I have a problem 😂📱
Been slowly collecting old Nokia phones again and I didn’t realize how quickly the collection was growing until I laid them all out today. 😅
Some of these bring back so many memories, while others are models I never got the chance to own back in the day. A few still need some cleaning, parts, or repairs, but that’s honestly part of the fun for me.
There’s just something about old Nokia phones — the designs, the buttons, the weird form factors, the build quality… every model had its own personality. ❤️
Still looking for more interesting Nokias to add to the collection, so I’m definitely not done yet. 😂
Which one would you pick from this lot? And what Nokia should I hunt for next?
USB-C NOKIA E7 mod
I’d like to present to you (and warn you against even thinking about) a USB-C mod for the Nokia E7.
The mod didn't come cheap.
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and FM radio no longer work and never will without a donor board. I used conductive flux and didn't clean it thoroughly—I managed to flush out the first short circuit, but the second one shorted the Wi-Fi IC, so I had to disconnect it from the power rail.
- A couple of ESD diodes took the brunt of my mistakes; I had to remove them as well, reducing the surge protection. A brilliant feature for soldering noobs like me.
- The charging LED also burned out for some reason and doesn't light up.
- OTG doesn't work due to the AliExpress port design.
The story: Back in its glory days, my Nokia had an unprofessional repair job after the USB port broke. The seller fixed it himself, and it lasted about a year. A specialist later told me the previous guy ripped off the pads, charred the board, and there was hardly anything left to solder to. The second repair didn't last permanently either.
Eventually, the Nokia E7 ended up in a drawer in 2014, half-disassembled so I could occasionally charge the battery using another Nokia and tinker with it. Now in 2026, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
I bought a DIY microUSB-to-USB-C board from AliExpress. On this specific port, pin 4 is shorted to ground (GND), and pin 4 handles OTG detection. So once soldered in, the phone constantly spams notifications as if an OTG adapter were plugged in. In my case, the D- and D+ pads were non-existent. Fortunately, there are test points nearby, so I ran thin jumper wires from the USB-C board pins to those pads.
Overall, after soldering the port four times, frying the Wi-Fi, busting two ESD diodes and the charging LED, the patient survived. Charging works, USB data transfer works too.
I had to trim down the magnesium body shell to fit the larger port, and do the same with the port opening bezel.
DO NOT RECOMMEND this mod if your Nokia E7 has a working port. DO NOT RECOMMEND this mod if your motherboard still has all its microUSB pads intact. WOULD RECOMMEND only if the port is gone anyway and there's nothing left to solder to—just don't be like me: flush everything with alcohol 10 times before connecting the battery or plugging in a charging cable.
Lets talk Nokia 5800.
The good. The bad. The apps. Chips. The lens (and memories it shot). Why some people think it failed. The choice with the touch tech. Stylus. Themes. Hacks.
And offcourse the music express swag.
Nokia N93i
This is my Nokia N93i from 2007. It's a genuine device with Thai language keyboard but not good condition, external display can't show and had death pixel in internal display on left of display and rear camera can't focus but it still good to call with 3G supported.
Hi guys. Got a E7-00 yesterday for around of 30$ or so.
I wanna make it working with modern websites or at least to make it capable of opening at least something more modern than it is able now. The problem is that I'm completely new at the Symbian Belledevices and don't know anything abot them. I've only used Symbian Belle once in 2019 on the Nokia N8 which belonged to my friend at the time and was his only phone back then. Can anyone help me with making the modern TLS or HTTPS work there? Here's the photo tho.
Is there a revival for the old download store on symbian?
