AI placeholder art vs. plain wireframes in TTS prototypes: where do you draw the line?

Hey all, I’ve got a question: how do you approach TTS versions of prototypes?
Does it bother you when a prototype uses AI-generated art purely as placeholder graphics? Or do you actually find it harder to engage with a prototype when it’s just plain wireframes and handwritten elements

I’m not a fan of AI slop in finished products, but when testing prototypes, I personally find it easier to get immersed when the game at least somewhat resembles the intended concept and atmosphere.
Curious where you draw the line. What do you prefer when playtesting in TTS?

Hey everyone! I’m Wei, the developer of Lionwake, an upcoming strategy game inspired by Han-culture lion dancing and Nian folklore.

We’re preparing for our Kickstarter relaunch and are looking for a few more players to try the game on Tabletop Simulator.

Lionwake is a medium-weight strategy game featuring:

🥁 Action economy & tactical movement
🦁 Two mythical creatures (lions) with different abilities and playstyles
🃏 Fast-cycling deckbuilding and combo building
👹 Nian beasts to defeat—or pacify
⏱️ Around 60–90 minutes

Workshop games works with base game?

Me and few friends considering getting into Tabletop world but I could not find info about custom games ppl made in the workshop if those always work with base game or do you need to have DLC's? Or is it some do some dont? Ty for answers in advance.

Free container items! Custom models for each

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share some models I'm giving to the community. They are handmade models I've made in blender with easy to use texture editing and a lot of customization. You can put cards into a booster pack or put empty boosters into the trash.
