What notifications do you wish TastyTrade had?
I'm building notifications into my trade analysis and query tool. What else would you like to keep track of?

So I day trade options and recently started becoming profitable. I use Tastytrade and lately the platform has been lagging/crashing sometimes. Since I mainly trade 0DTE and 1DTE options, I’m worried about what happens if I can’t close my position before market close because of a platform issue.
For example, one time I opened a trade and Tastytrade lagged for like 15 minutes before coming back. Luckily I was green on the trade, but it still scared me and now i am afraid to open trade position.
My question is: if I’m in a 0DTE trade and the market closes before I can exit, can the options get automatically assigned/exercised? How exactly does that work for long calls/puts? Could I end up with shares on margin or something even if I only wanted to day trade?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I’m still learning the “broker/mechanics” side of options trading. I want to keep trading but broker lag honestly makes me nervous.
Any advice about liquidating and starting over?
I have multiple short positions in the money and I’ve already rolled and lost.
I’ve never done this before but it seems logical and will alleviate my anxiety
Hi everyone! I wanted to share my situation with Tastytrade and ask if anyone here has experienced something similar or knows what else can be done. My Tastytrade account has been restricted since May 2025. I currently have approximately $71,899 in the account, but I cannot withdraw the funds or use the account normally. When I try to make a wire withdrawal, I receive an error saying that I cannot perform a cash withdrawal for the account at this time and that I need to contact Tastytrade account services. I contacted Tastytrade support multiple times through live chat and email. The only answer I keep getting is that my account is restricted by Compliance for review, and that Compliance will reach out once the review is complete. However, they do not provide any clear reason, any expected timeline, or any specific information about what exactly is being reviewed. This has now been going on for a very long time. The restriction started back in May 2025, and I still have no clear resolution. I have asked support whether the Compliance team can be contacted or whether the matter can be escalated, but support says they do not have access to Compliance’s review and can only add notes to the request or tell Compliance that I reached out. I also contacted them by email and explained the situation, but I still have not received a proper answer with the next steps. I understand that financial firms may need to conduct reviews, but holding funds for this long without a clear explanation or timeline feels unreasonable. Because of the lack of progress, I submitted complaints to both the SEC and FINRA. The SEC already confirmed that they received my complaint and forwarded it to Tastytrade’s compliance department, asking the firm to respond directly to me with a copy to the SEC. Still, I have not received a final resolution yet. At this point, I am not even asking to continue trading. If they do not want to keep my account open, I just want to know how to close the account and withdraw my own funds to an external bank account. But I still cannot get a clear answer on how this can be done while the account is restricted. Has anyone here had a Tastytrade account restricted by Compliance for this long? How long did it take to resolve? Did filing a FINRA/SEC complaint help? Is there any specific department, escalation path, or legal/regulatory step that helped you get a real response?
Anyone else completely locked out of TT?
How do you all actually track your TT performance? I've been manually logging every close and roll in a Google Sheet for two years. Finally hit a wall with it and built something to automate it. Curious if anyone else ran into the same problem or found a better way.
can't exit near term options positions... anyone else having same issue?
Does anyone know if you are able to add ‘simulated positions’ to your risk profile/ PL Theo graph, like how you can in ToS? For example, if I wanted to add a position to hedge a downside move, I want to visually see the PL graph adjust (based on the strategy) to determine which strategies will give me the smoothest curve around that price point, without any spike in profit or loss…
Right now it only displays active positions, and the risk analysis page in the ‘cap req’ section doesn’t illustrate visually which way your portfolio may lean, and what you have to tidy up…
I'm trying tastytrade platform on Windows. On my 4K screen (3840x2160) all text look blurry, not sharp as ToS or TWS. Tried to override HiDPI setting to "Application" but not working. Any tips are welcome.
I’m here trying to sign up to do specially vertical credit spreads. This platform is pretty useless for me if I cannot trade spreads as that is pretty much my major strategy.
Did I do something wrong up until this point in the application ? Can it be upgraded after the account ? During the application my knowledge is extensive, financial info is pretty strong
**edit** I called via suggestion and they told me I need a margin account and not cash account. I applied to a margin account under the same account and now able to do spreads with the margin account.
makes no sense as I could always day trade,
tried logging in and out, tried on other complaints.
not sure why tt is headaches
My tastytrade account was hacked and then the money was gone from options trading. I talked to the customer service and there is no more follow up. What should i do now? Anyone with this experience can enlighten me? Thank you
Im looking to sell ATM puts on this hoping to get assigned eventually. But when I go to review the order it says that it is set to closing only. Why is this? Is there a way to get this fixed? Should I contact support on Monday?
Options trading is fully enabled without restriction on its sister fund (SPYI). I know the options on this aren’t super liquid and the spreads are kinda wide but they’re not insanely illiquid. Just looking to make extra cash on something I want to buy anyway.
I'm doing analysis on my rolled options trades. Is there any other worth while ways of looking at this data? I've been mostly interested in the Cumulative PnL at the end of the roll cycle. I'm curious how everyone else look at their rolls.
Someone got same error trying to take money out using iOS app? Error occurred after entering authorisation code.
Happy weekend
