I'm here to share some Travis lore about one of the most famous moments in NFL history - what has come to be known as the "13 Seconds Game" (I know, right?! Too perfect.)

In the 2021 AFC playoffs, Travis and the Chiefs lost the lead to the Bills late in the 4th quarter. They got the ball back with just 13 seconds left on the clock, needing about 40 yards to get in field goal range to tie the game. That would generally be considered impossible. The Chiefs proceeded to gain 19 yards on the first play after Travis Kelce fed his teammate intelligence on how to exploit the Bills' defense. Then Kelce gained 25 yards on the second play, after quietly informing his QB of a "secret play" idea. (That's Patrick Mahomes shouting "Do it Kelc!" meaning "run that secret seam route we discussed.") and together, they achieved the most improbable playoff win in NFL history.

Don't let anyone ever tell you that Travis isn't smart. He's one of the smartest football players in the game, and he has the trust of everyone on that field to do exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. Travis is legendary for acting like "jazz musician", putting in a brilliant solo that completely changes the composition for the better, in a sport that usually demands perfect discipline. He's the best at what he does. A true Mastermind.

the patient zero mv is making me think about that whole 2019 period, especially the parallels with taylor’s infamous “drunk taylor” moment & the Jimmy Fallon interview.

what makes it even more interesting is the joe connection. taylor was very conscious of how she behaved publicly during that relationship, & there was this idea that joe preferred keeping things private & away from the public “noise.”

so i’m wondering if patient zero could be drawing from that dynamic. taylor being herself, being watched/judged for it, & feeling like she had to restrain parts of herself. obviously just a theory, but the parallels…?
