Hey everyone,
I’m honestly a bit overwhelmed and could really use the help of experienced Yu-Gi-Oh! collectors.
I’ve recently gone through a large collection of older Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, including many first editions, promos, and some cards that seem quite rare. I’ve tried checking Cardmarket and eBay, but I’m getting completely different prices everywhere and I don’t know what they’re actually worth.
I’d really appreciate it if some of you could take a look and help me estimate their value. I’m not trying to waste anyone’s time—I genuinely don’t know what I have, and I don’t want to accidentally sell something valuable for next to nothing.
If you’re experienced with vintage Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, I’d be incredibly grateful for any advice or price estimates.

My son is hosting a TCG event in Osaka this summer on August 1st. His goal is to help promote the TCG culture to the next generation of children. Been researching the very first Final Fantasy TCG set (Opus I, 2016) and found something interesting.

Unlike Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh, FFTCG doesn’t mark first edition printings.

But Opus I had two waves — and Wave 1 contains multiple corrected print differences:

• Artwork shifts (Squall / Ramza)
• Text formatting changes (“low :” print markers)
• Foil layer differences

So in practice, Wave 1 acts as a kind of hidden first print.

Pretty fascinating bit of Final Fantasy collecting history that most fans probably never noticed.

Today’s card of the day is Lani 12-018H from Opus XII: Crystal Awakening

Lani 12-018H is an aggressive Forward that disrupts your opponent’s resources while giving you access to them. When she enters the field, your opponent removes the top card of their deck from the game face down, and you may later look at and cast that card at a 2 CP discount using CP of any element. This makes Lani a unique source of card advantage and flexibility, allowing you to turn your opponent’s deck into an additional resource while applying pressure with her solid 7000 power.

Lani is a bounty hunter from Final Fantasy IX and a member of the Tantalus-affiliated group of hunters employed by Queen Brahne. Strong, confident, and wielding an enormous axe, she is tasked with hunting Princess Garnet and later attempts to recover the Gulug Stone. Although she initially serves as an antagonist, her motivations are largely driven by the promise of payment rather than malice.

Despite her intimidating appearance and blunt personality, Lani has a humorous side and often finds herself at odds with her fellow bounty hunters, particularly Amarant. Her encounters with Zidane’s party reveal that she possesses her own sense of honor, and while she never becomes a permanent ally, she remains one of Final Fantasy IX’s more memorable supporting characters thanks to her distinctive design and fiery personality.

Today’s card of the day is Squall 22-031H from Opus 22: Hidden Hope.

Squall 22-031H is a centerpiece for Final Fantasy VIII-themed decks, rewarding you for committing heavily to Category VIII characters. Once you control four or more Category VIII characters, he becomes a durable 10,000-power Forward that prevents damage from your opponent’s abilities by reducing it to 0. On top of that, at the start of each of your Attack Phases, he can cheat a cost 4 or lower Category VIII Forward directly from your hand onto the field, letting you rapidly build pressure and overwhelm opponents with a growing board.

Squall is the reserved and stoic protagonist of Final Fantasy VIII, serving as a SeeD cadet trained from childhood to become an elite mercenary. Initially distant and reluctant to rely on others, he prefers to shoulder every burden alone, believing emotional attachments only lead to pain. His calm demeanor and exceptional skill with the iconic Gunblade quickly establish him as one of the academy’s most capable fighters.

As the story unfolds, Squall gradually learns the importance of trust, friendship, and leadership through his relationships with Rinoa and the rest of his companions. His journey from an emotionally guarded loner into a compassionate leader is one of the defining character arcs in the series, making him one of the most memorable protagonists in the Final Fantasy franchise.

I was hoping some people might know some cards that feature Tapirmon/Bakumon.

Today’s card of the day is Terra 15-037L from Opus XV: Crystal Dominion.

Terra 15-037L is a versatile Ice Forward that excels in summon-focused decks. When she enters the field, she rewards you for revealing Summons from your hand by dulling and freezing the same number of opposing Characters, creating powerful tempo swings that can shut down an opponent’s offense. She also triggers another control effect whenever you cast a Summon, allowing you to dull and freeze additional opposing Forwards and Backups. The result is a card that continually disrupts your opponent while enabling Ice’s signature strategy of limiting their ability to attack and generate CP.

Terra Branford is the central heroine of Final Fantasy VI, a young woman born with the rare ability to naturally use magic. Raised under the oppressive Gestahlian Empire and controlled through a magical slave crown, she begins her journey searching for her own identity after being freed from the Empire’s influence. Today’s card of the day is the coveted chase of Opus XI: Soldier’s Return Tifa 11-071L.

Tifa 11-071L is a powerful Category VII Forward that becomes significantly easier to deploy if you control Cloud, reducing her cost by 1 and allowing her to be paid with CP of any element. She grants your other Category VII Forwards +2000 power and Brave, making aggressive attacks much safer, and once you’ve dealt 3 damage she unlocks a powerful ability that prevents your Category VII Forwards from being broken by opposing Summons or non-damage abilities, making her an excellent centerpiece for FFVII-themed decks.

Tifa Lockhart is one of the central heroes of Final Fantasy VII and a childhood friend of Cloud Strife. As the owner of Seventh Heaven in Midgar, she secretly supports the resistance group AVALANCHE while fighting to protect the people she cares about. Despite her incredible martial arts skill, she is compassionate, thoughtful, and often serves as the emotional heart of the party.

Throughout the story, Tifa helps Cloud confront the truth about his fractured memories and identity, providing unwavering support during his darkest moments. Her determination, kindness, and resilience have made her one of the most beloved characters in the Final Fantasy series, balancing extraordinary physical strength with genuine empathy and loyalty.

Today’s card of the day is Yuna PR-041/1-176H. This full art card was given as a monthly organized play promo in February 2019. It comes in both foil and non-foil versions. Foil being the most sought after.

Yuna PR-041/1-176H is a versatile Backup that provides both disruption and protection. When she enters the field, her EX Burst and auto ability let you return any Forward to its owner’s hand, breaking up attacks, removing buffs, or forcing opponents to replay key characters. In addition, if one of your Characters would be put into the Break Zone, you may remove it from the game instead, helping protect cards from effects that interact with the Break Zone and offering useful utility in decks that benefit from banishing their own Characters.

Yuna is the daughter of High Summoner Braska and serves as the central heroine of Final Fantasy X. As a summoner, she embarks on a pilgrimage across Spira to obtain the Aeons needed to defeat Sin, carrying the hopes of the world’s people despite knowing the tremendous personal sacrifice expected of her.

Throughout her journey, Yuna grows from a reserved and dutiful young woman into a confident leader who challenges centuries of tradition. Her compassion, determination, and willingness to forge a new future alongside her companions make her one of the most beloved protagonists in the Final Fantasy series, with her story continuing in Final Fantasy X-2 as she discovers her own path beyond the role of a summoner.
