How pleased are you with T-MOBILE fiber?
Now that you've had fiber for a while, is it good enough or better for you?
I ask because fiber hasn't been installed just yet but is planned.

I’ve been a T-Fiber customer for about five months now. The service has been OK and the price good compared to other providers so I’ve stayed. I live at a home where we have at least two dozen devices, if not more connecting to the network and sometimes it gets bogged down. I called about two weeks ago and requested to be upgraded to the 2 GB plan. That was supposed to happen this morning because, apparently, you can’t do that until the start of a bill cycle. So, you can imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning to no Internet at all. After spending way too much time on the phone with them, I find out my service was completely canceled. We never requested that and nobody could explain why it happened. So now I’ve got to wait a couple of days until a technician can come out and turn the service back on. Because, while we can cut you off remotely with no problem, we’ve got to send a tech out to turn the service back on. Meanwhile, I run a business from home and will be making due with my hotspot on my phone for a while. An inconvenience that was not necessary. I just don’t understand why this company is so incompetent. Oh, and I got transferred to four or five people this morning instead of the technical support team as was intended. Just a horrible experience overall.
Installer came by today. He cut a hole in my roof to run the fiber through. I can see daylight. The installer drilled through a shingle. I've never seen something so half ass.
Getting this on my iPhone 15 pro. Happy so far.
I just looked up the email they sent after pre-ordering T-Mobile Fiber after it was finally available at my address. It was sent 12/21/25. Since then, T-Mobile Fiber trucks have been in my cul-de-sac digging, installing giant orange wires, ect. That was a little after the new year.
After it seemed they were done with our court since they never came back, I called them and asked about installation dates. They didn't have an answer.
Then I called late March and the person was super nice and told me that they should have begun installation by now and that he'd contact me by the weekend with an update. Well he was able to give me a date of April 30th due to delays and that if I hadn't been emailed about an installation appointment by then, to call back.
Well after receiving nothing by the 30th, I called them back, and they said installations will begin in 2 weeks.
Well that time is up so I guess I just call them again for an update? Not sure what to do at this point.
I have had service (in MN on Intrepid) since November of last year - so we are going on 6.5 months. So far I have had 3 outages in that time, all caused by their 3rd party technicians poor workmanship. I firmly believe all my issues would be resolved if they used fusion splicing vs just mechanical push on terminations. In several cases I needed to use Google Translate to even communicate with the technicians.
Right after install the cable was laid across the ground and within 1 week the connector out at the underground splice box failed.
When they came back in the spring to dig in the fiber line, the technicians pulled the line hard enough and broke the termination in the box on the side of the house. If I wasn't home (the said I didn't need to be home several times in the pre-call) and tell them they broke it, the would have walked away with it broken.
Just yesterday someone from T-Mobile came out and did some work (unrelated to me) in the box at the street and now the internet doesn't work. I didn't realize until after they had left as I was out mowing the lawn.
For the first 2 issues it was a fairly easy process. I called, setup and appointment and had a tech come out. In some cases it was several days, which is a bummer, but at least I was on the books. For this most recent outage I called and they are unable to create an appointment because their system won't let them. They have to escalate it and then wait 3 days for a level 2 technician to call me back to then schedule an appointment.
Who can I call to get some actual traction on this? I love the service, especially as the only issues I have experienced are not network related, but installer related. I had Comcast for 6 years prior and never had a single outage. I work from home full time and no having internet means I am unable to work.
I am at the point where I don't trust my internet, nor do I trust that it can be fixed in a timely manner should it go out.
I was wondering for those who have Tfiber if its good for gaming. I ask this because I do lots of gaming with games that require low ping and zero packet loss. I had verizon's internet and it was awful (cellular). I know it's different from fiber, but I was just curious if it's actually good. Right now we have it being installed on my street and currently I have comcast. It works great for me and i average speeds of: 700mbs Down. and 175mbs upload.
I really hope i could get someone's feedback who does gaming like i do and is genuine about it. I know fiber is an extremely changing way of wifi for gaming and everyday usage, but is Tmobile worthy to have it?
