I get the first one is accurate but most representations of the MM have them with the second symbol where the feathers are not one piece
Are they actually evil (not chaos level of evil, just.. malevolent. Huh. Like some sort of.. marines malevolent.) or do they just care very little about the harm/ damage they do? And if so, how close are they to becoming chaos-related?
A veteran of the Tyrannic Wars, the Damnos Campaign, and once a serving brother of the Deathwatch.
The symbol on his chest is not in fact a piece of Ultramarine heraldry, it's the letter 'U', standing for "uncountable-civilian-casualties"
Brother Diego Viktar is among the most competent and effective soldiers in his meager station. His sights are set upon joining the ranks of his chapter's legendary first company and gives everything to this pursuit. Little does he truly realize promotion has been kept just out of reach for this very reason; to coax out all he can give to the chapter.
I realized I gave Brother Viktar a very commanding presence for someone in a simple fire support role so I figured that characterization could work well and add to the internal toxicity of the Marines Malevolent and their command structure.
Had to ask around on r/Vitiligo for advice on painting the head. I try to make a point about painting a variety of skin pigmentations on my minis; mostly just so painting faces never gets stale and also so my minis feel more like individual people. I promised myself at one point that I'd try giving painting vitiligo a shot as a sort of skill check but honestly this wasn't really that difficult.
