I really like this paint scheme over the traditional scheme, is there any lore for it?

Armies in question are Orruks, Ogors, and Khazalid Holds. I’m a longtime dwarf fan so that was my first pick but based on what I’ve heard, it seems that they are going to stray pretty far from Fantasy Dwarves. I like my dwarves to be more handy and technologically advanced than magical (which is apparently going to be the vibe of Khazalid Holds). For Orruks, I love the variety with their models and I REALLY like the Weirdnob Shaman mini. I fell in love with Ogors after their refresh, I really like the Mawseekers and the Hunters. Should I just wait to see if the rumors are even true?

Note: I know Kharadron Overlords will be suggested, but I’m not really a fan of their steampunk aesthetics.

The Astral Krakens tend to be fairly kind and respectful towards regular humans, minimizing casualties when possible. They hail from the world of Pelagia, a hostile world covered almost entirely in water. Here they witnessed the everyday life of Imperial citizens: farmers, engineers, fishermen, all working together to survive in an incredibly dangerous environment. These core tenets are now near-synonymous with the Chapter’s culture

My homebrew chapter works very closely alongside an Explorator Fleet of Stygies-VIII, so I’d like to include a Knight to show that in my army. I really like the Knight Magaera (it would also probably make the most sense), but curious as to what may actually work best

I could see them being an Undercity-esque mechanic for Tyranids but at the same time I feel like they also deserve their own faction.

How do you think they will work?

I gotta go with Legionaries

Idk why but I really like this head from the Wolf Scouts kit. Would this fit a WB Chaos Lord or should I stick with something a bit more corrupted?

I’m really struggling to pick between these two for my CSM army. I love the pirate theme and freedom of the Corsairs, but I also love the unapologetic evil and chaotic-ness of the Word Bearers (also I like their paint scheme a bit more.)

Any suggestions on why I should go with Corsairs?

I’m switching to Red Corsairs from Alpha Legion, so I’m still looking for a scheme. I was going to go with Mephiston Red for the red parts, but my pot dried out. I had some Vallejo Vermilion but I’m not sure if I like it. I would like them to be brighter but maybe this is too much

I don't collect Chaos Knights but I would like to ally one into my CSM army. I want to make a Knight Abominant that is being psychically controlled by the hovering sorcerer from the Exalted Sorcerers kit. Any advice on how to sell this effect best is welcome!

Note: I’m aware the model wasn’t cleaned up great, I got the model a while ago and primed it before I noticed. Also I know my highlights are a little sloppy, it’s something I’m trying to get better at.
