I'm sure this was asked before but could I get some recommendations for bits from different chapters etc for kitbashing? I'd like to get more official stuff than ordering from websites or 3d printing (a bit easier for me to get stuff that way) however wouldn't mind recommendations
Also before someone says second hand, Can't really do that because there's not too many people offering different chapter pieces

I am looking to field a deathwatch army tonight at my lgs for colosseum after work!
It's 2 rounds of 1:30 h for a round.
I looked up what you guys recommended and to my surprise I found that the list
Lieutenant in PA (55)
DW Terminator Squad (190)
Indomitor KT (265)
= 510p
Is not viable anymore.
So I thought I swap the LPA for a Bladeguard Ancient since that's the only character for 45p that could fit.
Should I field that or rethink the whole list?
And to my DW sisters/brothers out there: how do I command this list? Should I make use of the teleport beacon that comes with the terminator squad?

Got this box to play some small games with my mates any advice on painting black armour ive never been the best at it and it always comes out flat looking.

Hello im a new player i started with just the tomb world killteam set of deathwatch but trying to expand into 1000 to 2000 point game. My question is on the detachment page it shows the black spear task force. But it shows restrictions on what i cant use. Is that only for tournament. Or am I overthinking it because I was told I could use terminators but on there it shows I can't. And when I click on other detachment they are locked because i dont own codexes for them.
I posted this kitbash project here last week with some warhammer heroes I got from target which I converted into a squad of 3 deathwatch space marines. Here’s the finished (besides the bases) paint job!
I had a lot of fun with it!
As a blood angels main, getting to paint with some new colors like the imperial fist yellow and ultramarines blue was awesome!

Wanted to show off my Company Captain from the Blood Angels. With 11th edition coming out and the box art referencing the 2nd edition box from so many years ago, I wanted to make a captain based on the old 2nd edition captain that sits front and center. I like the idea of referencing or making a tribute to warhammer’s extensive past, especially when it comes to the legendary John Blanche. Hopefully I can finish this guy up soon and I’lm be able to start painting!

Sorry if this has been asked before, but as the title suggests how do these interact together when targeting 2 units with the same strategem? At first glance id believe that you can make it free and also generate 1cp but before I make a list around this I wanted to double check!

Been painting deathwatch past few days and been trying edge highlighting for first time.
Was hoping for some honest feedback on the painting and photos.
Painting on and off for a year but used to painting Space Marines (Dark Angels)
This is maybe the second mini I've painted ever, so I'm still figuring things out. Looking for a little advice on some detail items---I haven't attempted to transfer over the Ultramarines logo yet, and his armor overall seems a little lumpier from the paint than I expected.
Long story short, I am building a little 1K Deathwatch Det for a narrative campaign this summer. Gives me an excuse to work on some modeling and invest time in a small, fun army.
The backbone is going to be a Decimus Team, running a Cap and an Apothecary. I know it's simply a matter of opinion, but here I stand before the noble brothers of Watch Fortress Reddit, with a humble question:
Do you think it's proper to run the Apothecary (White Scar or Successor, TBD)in traditional Apoth white armor, black him out as is the way of the Long Vigil, or hybrid?
I've seen examples of all 3, and they all look legit, just checking with some other fans, to see where you stand on it?
