Sanctifiers

Aloha fellow Agents players.

I've been playing Agents as my primary army for quite a while now, and I feel its worth sharing one of my learnings with the community.

I typically play Purgation Force for that sweet ignore cover and combat shooting strat.

But what I felt was worth sharing is just quite how powerful Sanctifiers are, and what I've found to be the optimum ways of using them.

So it's a 100 point unit, with access to 2x1 shot 2 damage heavy flamers, 5 hand flamers S4, and 1 Flamer, along with a Plasma gun.

This says to me that this unit is a disposable 1 off nuke something and die type gig, or in the way I use them, a 1 off objective flipper, they come in through reserves, pick up just about any infantry unit in 1 go (recently had mine take out 10 Crusaders and put wounds on the character).

Once they have done this, they can then lock down a position with the 6 remaining flamer profiles for overwatch.

They also scale up really nicely, so we can stick an Inquistor in there (Ignis Judicium takes this further.. a lot further), and we can put a Priest in the unit to give it an additional flamer.

You can also hit the unit with a reroll wound rolls of 1 strat into a character unit through Veiled Blade.

Now this does stack it up to a 200 point unit, however, that unit now has enough damage to be a huge threat.

The beauty of this unit is that it's also incredibly understated, it's mostly underestimated.

It also has the benefit of being extremely small in footprint for fitting in tight gaps.

When bringing it in, if you combine it with your callidus you gain an additional layer of survivability through Vect, which can prevent an overwatch.

Next up is what to do once you drop the unit in.

So its a 12 inch range death machine, so perfect for reserves, but it also has a free CP reroll and can punch up fairly well in melee, if you combine it with the Inquisitor and Priest, the melee profile becomes problematic, and you get a free reroll on your charge, which can then generate a CP.

As a stand alone unit, it's optimal to bring it in, nuke something light, and then move onto an objective next turn (great for scoring denial).

If you run more than 1 of these, you can combine that into a very potent "go turn" strategy, due to how much output they each have, you can effectively delete 3+ units just from the 300 points of Sanctifiers, and as they punch up you can trade them for roughly 50% more points than their value.

In Purgation Force they work extremely well paired with Subductors, if you send Subductors up a flank to engage something, bring in your Sanctifiers via reserves, and then use the shoot into combat strat, you can halt an opposing unit in its tracks, and even if your Subductors are Battleshocked, you can then pump that damage straight into the fight without risking your unit, and if you have deployed them in the right well, when that Subductor unit gets picked up you can potentially shoot back at the unit that just killed them.

Essentially.. Sanctifiers are one of, if not our best high output cheap trading unit.

Salvationist and Miraculist done.

Really happy with how these 2 turned out. The shading was fun to do on the Miraculist and I am very happy with how the Salvationist turned out. I haven't decided if I want the eagles on her backpack thing to stay wood or make them metal.

Imperial Navy Legends Models

Hi there.

Potentially returning Guard player here, not played since 8th.

I've always been fascinated by the FW aircraft for the guard because the Valkerie just seemed too bulky, but I couldn't commit myself to the likes of the Avenger Strike Fighter, Thunderbolt, and marauder bomber at the time, so settled for using them in mods for DoW games.

I'm looking into the current state of the game (FW and GW have a unified website now, wow) and while still on sale, they have been shunted into legends, so wouldn't be eligible for most tournament play, not that their rules would likely be in the same bracket as modern datasheets.

Is it worth picking them up for the slim chance of a crusade campaign, or hoping they'll be added to the imperial agents roster alongside the Navy Breachers and assassins?

Death Cult Assassin done. I wonder if we will ever get a unit of them.

Not the happiest with him but its better than the Confessor. Idk why whenever I paint smaller models the paint always seems to be chunkier. Maybe I just need to baptize each drop of paint.

But in any case I did enjoy painting him and didn't notice the issues until the camera decided to show them. I had a thought while painting, Will we ever get a Death Cult unit? I think it could be pretty interesting to have like a 5 man that has its own special rule that basically gives it lone op despite being a group.

TREMBLE, LEXBREAKERS!

Here is the beginning of my arbites-themed guard army. Having a lot of fun painting it, less fun playing it… Still have a second rogal dorn, some kitbashed bullgry, hippogriffs, a centaur, and some kasirkin and scions to get through, all kitbashed to fit the theme. (And a fully magnetized bane blade, which will be their roving precinct-fortress!)

Lore for them is that a guard regiment was sent to garrison a planet ahead of a threat that ended up never arriving. Forgotten by the imperial bureaucracy, over time the commanders became little better than warlords, eventually marrying into the local nobility. They grew corrupt, indolent and hedonistic, forgetting the emperor’s way, refusing to pay the tithe. Warp storms erupted and the festering chaos turned into full blown rebellion. Cut off from the wider Imperium, only the men and women of the Adeptus Arbites were there to hold the line. They quickly took control of any loyalist elements, reforming them into hastily-deputized agents where necessary - always under the watchful eye of a commissar or detective.

Wish these guys had more support in Imperial Agents or as their own army, I’m fairly new to the hobby (since 10th) and this is my second army, wanted to go for something more ‘custom’. let me know what other units would look cool in this scheme, conversion ideas, units they had from older editions, etc. would love to hear your thoughts.

More WIP Sanctioned Xenos

Some more Sanctioned Xenos agents.

These are:

an ape with a large gun from Archvillain Games, pricing as a servitor with multimelta.

A Lizard man from Archvillain Games with weapon painted as a phase blade to count as an eviscerators.

A Waspid from Ugly Minis, proxying as a standard agent.

Very much still wips. especially the lizard man.

Apologies for the poor lighting but excited to share!

My bits box is running dry.

I've never had this problem till I started collecting Agents, I'm actually using my spare bits to the point where I'm running out of options and may have to invest in some new "parts kits".

a few examples pictured.

Are these decent Proxy's?

I'm not a huge fan of the voidsmen models (also couldn't find them at any of my local stores) and I got these necromanda guys out of a bargain bin for like 60% off. Stole a couple weapons from couple extra sprues laying around.

Finished my Confessor.

Not my best work, the Model got scuffed during building (the small front section between the cloth got hit with some plastic glue after it exploded) and then he had a bad Prime (It was more humid than normal out so I sprayed too far resulting in some fuzz).

Despite the mishaps I decided to use him to test my overall theme for my unit of Sanctifiers and I am pretty happy with it. Luckily none of the others got hit by a plastic glue blob.

How to field Karamazov

I like the model a lot, but there are no current rules for him outside the crucible ones.

What do you think he could be proxied as?

My only idea so far is an armiger helverin, but I wonder how to get the main guns onto the model. Maybe servitors carrying them on foot :D

Has anyone converted the basic marines out of the starter set for deathwatch kill team. To save on cost I can get 10 of these for £18
