Looking for a group to play with in Manchester, UK

Hi all!

Myself and my partner are looking for a new place/group to play Warhammer with.

We both live in Manchester. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

We don't really want to play at the Official store as we've had some bad experiences in the past.

Thanks all ❤️

Salamanders brutalis dreadnought freehand (W.I.P)

I have been wanting to work on my freehand, and my dad gave me his dreadnought to practice on, keeping the salamanders colours with a medieval regal style was pretty hard but i’m really proud of it so far!

Improving my fig

I was sick when I painted this Tyranid and was not happy with the result, so I decided to improve it

If you got lost in the warp which Chaos God would you pledge your soul to to save yourself?

As a newbie I would say Tzeentch cuz I like riddles and stuff

edit: I SAID CHAOS GOD

I baked this cake for my bf's birthday and wanted to show it off because it took me many hours

He's been into Warhammer for years, but only recently started playing Necrons. I didn't want to be basic, so I spent hours reading about their lore (could have just asked here lol) and ultimately decided to portray the Necron Schism.

Edit: I can't change the title, but I've been promoted from gf to a fiancée! Also thanks to everyone for the kind comments! :)

What will be your next model you buy because of rule of cool

For me it's either ghaz or maybe a dreadnought, both kinda for future armies but at the same time they are awesome and I just want them

A few John Blanche original painted models.

One of the great things about working in the (non-GW but adjacent) wargames industry in the Lead Belt is that you get to see some really cool stuff. In this case it was a bunch of minis painted by John Blanche (some of which were in the Ratspike book), so I took a few photos and thought you might like to see 'em.

Looking at them, they're mostly old Ral Partha sculpts, albeit largely heavily converted, so these probably date to the early 1980s at a guess. The quality of the paintjobs is just stunning.

This has to be one of my favourite conversions I've done for my Blood Axes so far. Beastboss Bazdrogg. I thought it would be really funny to give him some medals that a 'Umie "boss" would earn for fighting Orks. Because he's most likely to come across those. Might paint him on tomorrow's stream!

Good evening! Recently completed this hand converted Night Lord made from a Mcfarlane action figure. This is my take on Thomas Elliotts Night Lord artwork, I think I came pretty close to the original design. If you want to see how it was done, you can do so on Youtube, link in the post.

Discovery of the century. Ferrero Rocher boxes are the perfect size for Warhammer brand paint pots.

Had these boxes lying around since easter last year and I noticed my paints always came out "thick" because even after shaking them they had been laying upside down inbetween sessions (I'm new to this be kind) now though they have a dedicated box and that makes storing them a lot easier.

Where or what parts to Kitbash mk5 to look more heresy-ish

I The mk5 I love with design before and Since mk5 tactical squad isn't revealed only apothecary, and forge world but expensive, what parts would u use to kitbash to make it mk5 design? For iron within

Bragg The Gutsman - Warhammer Fantasy Finecast

Painted up this old Citadel Finecast ogre model over the past couple weeks! This was a good level-up for me with NMM. The cast was pretty rough. Lots of random voids and pockets of missing resin around it.
