Best army or models for building up painting skills
So pretty simple question, i have a lot to learn from the basics to the more complex, i want to know which warhammer models are best for me to learn new skills on or atleast try express skills with. This may be models with certain simpler proportions or the opposite of more difficulties to help me learn and adapt. Some things i know i can do is i can do some good worn leather and i actually liked it, and my first attempt at both volumetric lighting and skin have been poor attempts. And id like to stay away from contrasts as it will be bit cheap for what im wanting to do with this hobby.

Kitbash: Looted Ork Apocalypse Tank (Red Alert crossover)
The Apocalypse Tank was one of the coolest units I loved in my childhood. Growing up in Beijing, Red Alert was my first ever RTS game. Most of the time I went to internet cafes as a kid was just to see this tank LOL. That twin-barrel Apocalypse Tank absolutely amazed me. Sadly this build won’t work as a proper tabletop unit, the scale doesn’t line up. This kitbash is built from the Border Model 1/35 Apocalypse Tank Ver.2.0 and 3D printed parts and leftover sprues.
Let me know what you think of this kitbash.!

Finally finished with Chef Ramsay last night!

First ever Mini painted, he feels unfinished.
I just started with Warhammer painting, and this guy's mostly just to be used as a Practice piece to be painted and stripped and repainted as many times as he can survive, however I'm unsure how to get better. I use an airbrush and hand brushes, but I simply can't capture all the little details...

Chaos Warriors 17 years apart
Took back the hobby after 17 years, and couldn't resist picking up my old scheme for my chaos warriors. Not much progress in terms of painting but I'm pleased I didn't lose it either.
